yaman 103 goals this year in 15 rounds. rumor has it a phew afl clubs have made contact with him first bloke in metro Victoria to bag 100 this year

Don’t check this forum much and never made a comment, but as captain of the NB ressies and a player for 6 years, I had say that the NB reserves have never been ‘stacked’ in my time.
The sides are picked solely on form, availability and training. It would be to the detriment of the club if we did ‘stack’ and risk pi$$ing off some of the great young blokes who have come down this year. No point playing finals anyway if you are not playing with the blokes who got you there in the first place.
Senior success is what it is all about anyway. (although nice to get a few wins in the twos)

Senior success is the only goal at North Brunswick

Good to see the "AXE" and "TomaHawk" sticking up for their club.

Now that their beloved Hawk's are looking likely to finish up as the best of the rest in the AFL, maybe you bloke's will see it as being more acceptable for Buddy and Roughy to drop back to the Box Hill Hawks come VFL final's time?

See ya's in the finals Homo's :D

I don't stacking the 2's is really thought until the last round or two where you have someone who has played 3 or so games in the twos and then you may wish to qualify them. I still don't think it is a massive advantage anyway because these players are fringe players.

What is an advantage though is when your senior side doesn't make the finals or they get knocked out and the 2's are still in. This means full possible list to choose from and not loosing players to the seniors if they have injuries.

So Nth Brunny will have an advantage early in the finals until MtL or Kew's senior sides get knocked out. They would really like to win in week 1 of the finals to get a crack at Latrobe in case their senior side does not make the Granny (unlikely anyway but still possible).

Good match with Manningham. They have improved since the earlier rounds.

No real upsets this week. Though it seems Kew might have been unlucky? Report?

Another massive match this weekend. RC v SM... Is it possible that ML would be hoping for an RC win? Surely not :)

Quite unlucky. There was a tight contest in the last minute within Kew's goal square and a quick kick hit the post resulting in them being a point down before the siren went. The Lead changed hands a number of times throughout the day. We didn't come away with the points but a great game all the same.

Very important round coming for a number of teams.
I am sure the Mountainmen would be hoping for a RC win! They may even be keen for the RC boundary umpire to toss in some favorable RC throw ins!

Yeah was a great contest played at a high level and great spirit. But what about that ump hahaha OMG least it was poor for both sides. He should of just stopped trying to be a smartarse to the players. Anyway great game.

Oh yeah he was in a world of his own that bloke. At one stage I saw him run at least 50 metres to one our backmen just so he could get the last word in from a free kick dispute. This was just as the other umpire bounced the ball and play was going on. I think the authority has gone to his head

its an odd couple of rounds with the top 5, i think kew will be fine, but if Richmond beat South This week then we will be barracking for them next week against Mt Lilydale, but if South beat Richmond this week then we be hoping Mt Lilydale gets up next week, odd, this is all ASSUMING that all other results go the way they should...

And what happens if AP or latrobe have top spot locked up and rest players in the last round? Mt Lilydale could be saved and South Morn or Richmond knocked out... Interesting times.

Tips for round 16....

Kew @ BHN - Kew with too much to play for to slip up here. Kew by 10+ goals.

Swin @ NB - Swinburne are pretty much done as far as finals go, so I'm going with NB to record another home win by 2 goals.

AP @ Chad - AP by a cricket score.

SM @ RC - I just noticed that the VAFA site already has RC pencilled in for a win! Hopefully that's a good sign. RC by 1 point.

LT @ ML - This will be a great win for Lilydale if they can manage it. LT by 2 goals.

MAN @ EP - EP are on a losing streak, Man are playing better, but EP have a solid home advantage to get them over the line. EP by 3 points.

Reserves: K, NB, AP, RC, LT, EP.

Tips for Round 16

BHN vs Kew - BHN by 1 point
NB vs SU - NB by 1 goal
CHAD vs AP - AP by 15 goals
RC vs SM - RC by 3 goals
MtL vs LTU - LTU by 10 goals
EP vs MANN - MANN by 1 goal

It's a bit of a shame that they are spread all over - it has been good having all games played at one venure - and that venue was close to home!!

See ya's in the finals Homo's :D

I see the boys at North Brunswick had another big win in the two's. 197 points. The stacking must be working!

By the way, if they stacked their two's, the boys left in the one's must have played really well to knock off Swinburne in what was a 17 goal turnaround from the first time they met. And if they had have kicked straight (11.20 to 11.5) the margin could have been alot bigger.

Now a few of you guys have to have a hard look at yourselves.

North Brunswick are not stacking the two's. Unfortunately, we don't have enough top tier players to make us competitive against the top sides however we have a multitude of players that would be classified as good quality second tier players which is why our seconds are so strong! Where other teams have app 50% to 70% of third tier players in their seconds, we have a much lower % of them.

As for our seniors, unfortunately we have taken too many games to gell for this season ut our work is about to start to sure these guys up for a massive tilt in 2010. Our average age in the seniors has dropped from 32 last year to around the 23-24 mark this year so the future hopefully looks bright.

So boys, get off our backs. We're a battling team just like the rest of you and we're starved of finals experience but we're hopeful that the hard work that we've done as a Club, will bare the fruits in the next year or two at the most.

So bring on the finals.........in 2010!

Good luck to all teams in the finals this year (including our two's).

Oh, and Footy Hack, you're only a HOMO if you receive so avoid sitting on any stools in the near future!

Richmond Central to play finals for the first time in 9 years!

I'm looking forward to the fireworks with Lilydale this weekend. Perhaps an elimination match for them, and third spot up for grabs for us... Plenty to play for.

Good effort by Richmond and a good win over our determened boys yesterday, we just cant seem to get over the line against them this year having chances in both games to win. but now hoping the snakes can knock off lilydale this weekend to keep our finals hopes alive a perhaps get another crack at Richmond in the first week of finals.
