Just give me the money - it'd be safer! :D

Is there anyone from Chadstone out there? How are the numbers? Obviously a couple of guys have put in clearances to move, but have new, improved versions of these guys appeared to replace them?

Numbers building, have had a few handy recruits from Cranbourne and Chelsea Heights who've brought a few mates along with them and look like sticking around, will definately make a push up the ladder this season!

Good to hear. I had heard that before... 5 blokes from Cranbourne?

Still no clearances in from:

Eley Park
South Mornington
Monash Gryphons
Swinburne
Chadstone

And it sounds like the Mt Lilydale Secretary needs to get his/her act together... all the forms are being rejected!

I have heard that Point Cook have had 80+ different faces on the track so far in the preseason.... pretty impressive really.

80+ is outrageous really isn't it? It's pretty hard to promise that many blokes a game of footy.

And for anyone who has been involved from an administration perspective knows that dealing with the on-ground stuff is difficult enough; dealing with the egos of blokes who think they're better footballers than they are is quite another. Getting enough football to satisfy that many blokes will be impossible.

Plenty of blokes on track last night at Manningham. A few we haven't seen yet still to return.

Back on Tuesday nights already IFF?

With those kind of numbers PC could field a clubXIII side. so why not.

You'd think there's every chance they could get a clubbies side up and running with those kind of numbers.

Based on where they are located and the growth of that area I can really see this side doing what Werribee/Rupertswood have done the last few years.

I'm afraid I have to agree... strong junior setup as well.

Yeah - don't know the basis of the decision (although the guy doing our fitness work's availability may have played a part in it). It hasn't hurt the numbers on the track too much though. (Disappointingly we haven't had 80 through yet! :p)

80+....#%&@.... I think clubs still have until the first week of march to register for a club 18 side, why not even two of them with those numbers!
We have had around 60 blokes train since we began but the most on any given night has been the 40 mark.
Also bigwaz I will get on the back of the person responsible for the clearences, although I would have thought you'd be happy for them not to be accepted.;)

I'm not sure why they're denied, but I'm sure some of the refusals are for typos or missing info etc.

I reckon the numbers would be getting up to 70 now sneako. Having you burn it up on the track is bring in extra's I think.

Pretty sure the denials have more to do with the other club than typos.
Some clubs can't accept that players want to leave.

Most surprising that Monash Gryphons have had no movement on the clearances board... unless that's intentional? Keeping their cards close to their chest and all that!

I get nervous at this time of year. The 6 weeks until the season starts goes amazingly quickly when you have a clearance or two declined!! And then you've got blokes not filling in paperwork until the last moment.

the commitee always makes some bloke take the fri morning before round one off after getting 6 clearance sheets signed at training on the thu night to drop them off to jeremy himself

just 3 or 4 weeks to practice matches?

Practice matches are not a problem. In fact they probably work to your advantage in getting guys to sign paperwork (as long as you don't get flogged by 20 goals!).

I think we've got a praccie match in 2 weeks...

The Chad have got matches against Sandown and Surrey Park lined up, 20th & 27th of March. Looking forward to seeing how the new squad performs.

Wouldn't expect much in the way of clearances to the Sharks. Not many new faces getting around which is disappointing given the exits of some very big names. Numbers on the track have been poor too. Could be a long season for the Sharkers.
