You crack me up....It seems you needed to get that of your chest. Feel better now? Most of what you say is true 'but' I also have played EFL and YVMDFL footy and still believe my earlier post, without a doubt! Maybe next time you strap on the boots or even when your cutting up the oranges ready to hand out to the football players or running out the water for they boys after a goal, just take a minute to notice anyone but yourself out on the paddock and try another assessment.

hang on pistol - you're right i did feel better. its funny you mention the water and orange folk of D4 Vafa, i do believe they are a better standard than their counterparts in the EFL and YVMDFL. so i hope this makes you feel better about your terrrbile division.

I have a feeling that as we adopt the AFL rule for kicking in from behinds, there will be some confusion from the goal umpires... It'll take a little getting used to!

Players are used to having a break, especially d4 reserves players

Don't think it will work in D4 especially, with volunteer goal umps and average standard field umps there will be to much confusion.

Is the Aaron Marsh cleared to Point Cook the former Altona and Torquay or Ocean Grove full forward. He'll kick 100 in D4 if its the same guy. Would be about 33 or so now but will still dominate.

Nah - Point Cook are coming. The only question is whether they are a bit premature. No point coming in March (at least not in the footballing sense.)

I think everyone on here will be amazed if Monash aren't pretty strong. North Brunswick are definitely going to be about the mark given the number of clearances that they are putting through.

It looks at the moment as though it could potentially be another year with a decent sort of divide between the haves & the have nots. It'd be nice if this wasn't the case, but it's not sounding particularly good for a close competition.

Point Cook very busy with 41 clearances applied for. Astounding number really - even for a new team.

NB getting pretty busy too... Not really too much action for several teams. Nothing much from Chadstone, Eley Park, Swinburne (although they may come late given the Uni year has just started).

Interesting as clearances should be well & truly in full swing by now.

Dosen`t show the guys who are automatic and don`t require Clearances because they haven`t played footy or haven`t played for a few years. I think there is another 20 of them !

But all will be required for a new team , you want at least 60 on your list so injury issues don`t hurt , few blokes haven`t played for a while or in the "Older" bracket may not be right week in week out once matches start and bodies begin to get crunched !!!

I played Divvy 2 YVMDFL last year and am playing D4 this year, from what I've seen at training with a D4 club they would win on fitness/speed but 2nd divvy YVMDFL boys would win on size and strength.

Cobras had one to the beach last week. A good turn out & (I wasn't there) a successful trip. Coaches pleased, which is not quite as good as a happy wife - but still important!

How anyone can be odds on for a flag prior to the season starting is just crazy! I don't care if the Gryphs have 120 on the track they don't deserve to be this short. $3 would be a far fairer quote for the punters and even that is slightly under the odds.

Manningham will improve this season. All indications are good, but it seems as though competition will be hot.

The Rams have some good new inclusions, but clearly understand that nearly all clubs have been active in this area. We believe that this year may be the toughest and the most competative D4 clubs have experienced ever??

So can someone tell me with the uncertainty of P.C, what sort of win in round 1 (goal wise) against Richmond would it take for the D4 comp to take notice of the new side? Also do they have a nickname or should we, the B.F public give them 1?

Richmond have been around the mark the last couple of seasons, and while Waz is a regular on here, none of the regular posters are really into talking up their teams / recruits too much.

I'd say if PC were to knock them over by more than 5 goals it'd be a big win for the club. (Not sure if it's home or away....)

Swinburne beat Chadstone by 15-20 goals or so in round one last year.... I'm sure they thought D4 would be a breeze.

The real challenge for Point Cook will come from about Round 7 when they've picked up their share of injuries and they have to dig into their 2's for senior players.

Agree with you there Razor, but what i was getting at is i don't know how good Rich Centrals are or have been, so was more getting a guid by what you guys know. How about The Point Cook Pirates? Ahh me matey!!
