As has been stated here - there are mechanisms within the VAFA to sort out these things, and I expect to get a call from HQ this week. That is the extent to which I will act on these incidents Can I also add that I do not condone any acts of head butting, punching, elbowing, eye-gouging etc by anyone. So I am disappointed that these incidents have occurred.
These are the parts of your response that I find most interesting plugger.
You are admitting that these actions took place yet you are not prepared to do anything about it. You say you do not condone these actions yet you are condoning them by not taking action. Actions speak louder than words.
If you expect a call from the VAFA you clearly understand the seriousness of the situation, why not get on the front foot and send a clear message about what your club stands for. You are at the moment but unfortunately its not a great message.
I will say that I have made it very clear to the coaches, players and committee what I expect when representing our club - there is a leadership group and a coaching group, and finally a committee who will manage anything that sits outside of my expectations
By the committee taking no action i am assuming that number 10's actions are within your expectations. Is this correct? If not then why is your committee not taking action. The reality is the coaches and leadership group should not accept this kind of behaviour but if they don't take action that is when a strong committee protects the reputation of its club.
Sorry plugger but it looks very much like your club accepts thuggery as part of its culture. I guess all D4 clubs now know what to expect when playing manningham. I just hope no one is seriously hurt due to your clubs inaction. When he goes off again don't play the innocent card about it being one player. You have had ample warning. It's now on your head.
