Well done to EP and Northern Blues making the Grand Final. Great effort from both. EP probably been the best team all year but I'm tipping Northern Blues will win it. Amazing effort coming from 6th.
Don't know who you are Peptide but you're not a bad keyboard warrior. Hawthorn were beaten convincingly by Blues and had a great match against Eley Park on Saturday. Both teams thoroughly deserved their wins.
We recruited pretty well last summer but not well enough obviously. Hopefully we will retain most players from this year but a few have retired. Look forward to playing against the same clubs next year as they were all decent blokes. Except you Peptide, you're a knob.

Perhaps, but i'm a learned knob. It was glaringly obvious throughout the season that you guys played with arrogance and treated the opposition with little respect. This is why i am glad that a reality check has been dealt.

Congrats to EP and NB. Esp NB; their progress throughout the year is staggering. They’ve certainly peaked at the right time, knocking off the two teams I thought would be playing in the big dance.

Not sure where all this Hawthorn bashing is coming from. Hawks, for mine, are a confident mob, definitely not arrogant. By far the most ‘professional’ and well-structured team in D4, with a captain that CAN play.

Purely based on player calibre, my tip is EP this Sat, but given NB’s run, it’s going to be much closer than anticipated. Good luck to both coaches and players.

Having watched the Hawks about 5 times this year I thought they were anything but structured. They simply relied upon having better players than the opposition.
The problem with this is that in finals, teams so their homework and clubs like the Hawks become very easy to contain as they have no structure or game plan. When things don't go your way and the sh*t hits the fan they have nothing to fall back on.
While I would love to see up them get up the grades a little, they were always going to find finals hard work.
You are right, Tremewen can play. Like that Dima guy from SFX, too good for this level.

Fair call, although from what I saw, Hawthorn were the best team in terms of creating space, ball movement, and defensive transition. But you’re right, obviously NB (and EP) did their homework and did a good job in shutting down their better players. I thought Hawthorn were a shoe-in for the flag at the end of August, but I guess anything can happen come Finals time. In terms of playing for your jumper and being accountable & disciplined, I thought WB were outstanding. So again, well done to NB in knocking off those two to make the GF.

Teams in Ammos (esp the lower divs) change from year to year, so it’s going to be interesting to see who the big improvers will be in 2014.

Good luck to both sides this weekend.

Eley park have been right up there for a while now, and the blues have come from the clouds.

Two close games this year, one all, both away wins. Nuetral venue, blues current form and eley parks consistency make it hard to choose a winner.

Would not be surprised if either won, but tipping eley park's consistent ability to win, even when not playing their best.

Should be a cracker

Congratulations to Northern Blues, its a great achievement to do what they did in their first year of senior footy, after watching them play and reading early reports on them, it seems we all underestimated their ability, they are very well structured, enthused and disciplined, i have no doubt they can make a splash in this league

Congrats to Northern Blues, great effort in their first season and especially coming from sixth!

I was OS when we played them so I've never seen them play. How come they didn't finish higher up the ladder after home and away?

They were a very well drilled side who didn't have access to some of their U19's throughout the season. Great job from them. Were the better side on the day.

Rumour has it that Mt Lilydale will either be playing clubbies next season or folding. I also hear that star ruck man Jim Baughn has signed on to play with Yarra Glen in the Yarra Valley Mountain District Football League.
