Wow like the argument however if I may have an opinion since we have gone up and suddenly we cant have one. 75 and TT both your arguments have merit one that the answer will affect another party either way. Having been the coach of the team that finished last in Div 3 the year Hawthorn got relagated and having to stay up after only winning two games and ligitimately finishing last. Then being flogged all year and loosing every game. I say Hawthorn shouldnt have been relagated as the long term affect on a club like ours was almost catastrophic. In the hast to punish Hawthorn other clubs got caught in the crossfire. Loss of points was the way to go. Flip side was the experience and I guess the genuine want to help from past players based on us hitting rock bottom helped our club develop a resolve not to be in that position again.

Enough now about Hawthorn it doesnt matter and only time will tell about SFX . Merry Xmas to all our opponents from 2016 wish you guys all the best for 2017 would be rapt to see Massala play finals and Nth Brunny win a flag. Also Box Hill to be up and about again. No doubt us and Point Cook dodged a tough year in div 4 next season with SFX in and 3 down the winner would have truly earned it these things have a way of levelling out.

Made some good friends and had developed respect for alot of really good blokes in my time in Div4 hope to see you guys going around again soon.

DIV 4 Thread good Bye.

Sorry Ramjets I didn't mean it that way, I was merely having an opinion and was shot down
by guys who know how hard it can be in this division.
You made a great comment about your struggles having to stay up in D3 the following season and that was the point I was trying to make about it being unfair.
Anyway good luck to you and westbourne next season hope to catch you for a beer in the near future.

Just saw a series of twitter pleas for player numbers at Box Hill North. Photo from their first session shows only 16 (on a rudimentary head count mind you) which would no doubt see them in real jeopardy of not participating in D4 for season 2017.

May have to slide back to Club XVIII?

Would be fairly standard from Bok Hill I reckon.

Drove by Elsternwick Park on Monday and saw 14 on the track.

I've seen Premier A clubs with 15-20 on a night pre-Feb. I'd be more worried if it's the same 15-20 each night, and come end of March the numbers are still the same.

Thought I'd have a crack at the ladder for 2017. Always hard considering all the player movement that can happen.

1. Aquinas
2. St Francis Xavier
3. Parkside
4. Eley Park
5. North Brunswick
6. Mt. Lilydale
7. Elsternwick
8. Box Hill North
9. Manningham
10. Masala

Will most likely be miles off. Anyone hearing anything about recruits or players leaving clubs?

MC out - Bell, Raso, Daley, Pianto - four huge losses - none in yet

Point Cook out - Lampi - big loss

BHN - 11 out - (not sure of abilities)

Any others??

No more BHN
That's a shame. Tough area to recruit footballers however and sounds like they have had a rash of departures and retirements. I wonder if Schwabby will stay on, and also whether a merger might be the eventual result, with Whitehorse and even Eley Park, Bulleen Cobras, and Bulleen temp not being that far away.

It is a shame, Schwabby works Saturday mornings so cannot commit. I have only seen all this from their twitter account. Very tough area to recruit from.
