Lots of first 22 players missing for BHN. If they dont get some back it could be a long few weeks for them.
They never stopped having a crack though. Few double ups that were out on thier feet but had a crack

Only 6 players from last years senior pre-lim played in the seniors.
It's been a tough month. I expect our form too improve significantly in the final 6 games.

Tough game of Footy for WB. Nth Brunny always have a crack at us especially on their Deck. Nth Brunny will get a few on the way home if the can keep playing like they did.
I rate them as well as they pushed PC and we were lucky to get the win. Pity they can't make finals.

Dont you love the VAFA. Lets introduce a league wide bye into competitions that already have a bye for reasons that dont have any affect on that division.
Lets give the other local leagues a free kick for the weekend.

really silly the structure of Div 4 . Having said that I hate byes but with our injury list this year I have appreciated the time off.

Finally the VAFA are showing some common sense.
Changes to D2, 3 & 4 will finally abolish the Bye with changes being:
D2 - 1 team down
D3 - 2 teams up and 3 down
D4 - 2 teams up.
Aquinas, Elsternwick and Parkside coming back by the looks.

Good changes for sure. Is there any interest from teams outside the VAFA this year?
Really great plan until some else wants the easy option of clubbies or doesn't want to do the hard yards anymore.
Any mention of getting more umpires because one field umpire in the Seniors is embarrassing for all who market this as the premier comp in Victoria.
Club umpires will be doing Div 4 Seniors next year whilst they run three field umpires in premier .

Let's not even mention that quality of the umpires we get. I swear that some of them must either be blind, stupid or have never played Aussie rules.
Still think best plan merge D3 and D4 play til round 10 top 10 teams breakaway and bottom 10 breakaway.Winner of top 10 gets promoted winner of bottom 10 gets a flag. Bottom finisher in D2 gets relegated and you start all together again next season.
To me it would give the bottom teams a chance to develop against teams with similar ability and the gap wouldn't be as great.
Only stipulation is 20 teams start each year if one drops out at season start doesn't affect any other division and can be picked up in the bottom teams as they would get the bye after round 10.
We got one field umpire last week joke.

Can't believe it took them this long. No issue with D4 having more than 10 teams as long as they keep it consistent in the higher divisions. Bet at least one club drops out of D4 next year and goes back to clubbies though.
Ramjets surely you jest when you say only one of 20 teams at start of the combined D3/D4 comps can be promoted. You'd never get out.
If split half way how do you grade the draw of teams for the first 10 games. Would be more uneven than D3 now.
And only 1 back out of D2?
Pleassseeee, the promotion demotion system works well. Just cocked up this year by the weak action of Monash/Glen Eira, and lack of fortitude shown by headquarters.
Some strong leadership early would have seen the strategic Alliance compete in D2, then 10 teams, and Parkside stay in Div 4, then 10 in D3 and D4. By making late season decisions about extra demotions (harsh but probably correct), the VAFA have shown that they can make hard decisions. Why not make some hard decisions early.
Surely the other big hearted club St Francis might be due to put their hand up after glowing in their 'premier and champions" season in Clubbies 2 for a year or two.
It will all be decided a week out from Rnd 1 2017.
