D_P_S Coffield is absolutely in my top 10 at the moment, even closing in on top 5. Can you see this happening come draft day?
In my next update I have him at 13, I've had him in my top 20 since I watched him in Round 1 where he one the game of his own boot kicking 4 goals in the 2nd half. I wouldn't be suprised to see him go top 10 he is a great talent
Hopefully Brayshaw and Constable are bumped up as well?

Happens with Dragons players every year IMO.
I put Constable at 10 last week but he goes down 1 spot with Sutherland going in. Brayshaw is now at 15 after being at 17 he just continues to impress me another who has been top 20 for awhile
Really DPS? Im not sure about this. For mine wasn't strongest forward in the champs. Doesn't warrant top 10.
Whens your next update?
He just looks more and more comfortable playing at this level. Great hands overhead and at ground level, a lovely user and is quick of mind and he loves the contest and tackles hard which I really like in key forwards. He has only shown a small taste of what he is capable of im sure Bishop could tell you how good he has been at school level.

Tonight hopefully I will get it out

Clubs still have him in the top 10 (He's the best tall in it) - Metro played around with their team, Sutherland spent a lot of time in at the Centre Bounce early in the game. Understand that this isn't his go, but they gave it a crack.

He's a key forward and was Metro's best tall.

His pick up from ground level is better than any other tall in the draft pool, and has the ability to dish the ball off straight away left or right.

Just because he didn't kicked five goals and clunk eight marks - doesn't mean he had a bad game/carnival.

Need to remember where this kid has come from, zero footy preseason and zero rep football pathways for Vic Metro.... Don't expect a full game, as very rarely does any kid do it - let alone talls.

Id argue CCJ has the best pick up at ground level out of the talls this year, remember he is 200cm plus and picks the ball up as clean as midfielders.
Everyone has their own opinions in the end, some people are for Sutherland and some are against. Can see pros and cons to both parties.

DPS.

When are you expanding your phantoms from 30 to 70+?

Feel like more names should be included for discussion.
That mock draft on our board is only for a bit of fun its not a majorly accurate mock and it would be too time consuming to have it any bigger. Ill be trying to do a weekly thing on our board going through some of the good players for every position we are looking at so this week will have one on the inside mids in this draft.

Reckon some stiff outs are Penrith, Bell, Shipley, Landt and Payne. Find Miers under rated at 49 and so too Allen at 35?

Penrith I rate a lot lower than others, Landt and Shipley are close.

Miers has been good but I'm still a bit worried about his inside game, he looks better when his team is winning.

Allen I'm still not sold on yet I wouldn't say he is overly quick and he is still only 191. Will need some big games in the WAFL to go top 30 for me

Of those I really like Allen and Landt. Saw them both at Domain, Allen had a great battle with Balta and managed to kick 3. Thought he used his strength well considering Balta is a big strong unit. Landt impressed with his pace and agility, seems to me to have some real footy smarts as seen in the Cannons game with Stingrays in their last encounter. Did some digging and wasn't too surprised to see he tested at the tac fitness day at 2.94 for the 20m (ranked 25 across the tac cup) and 8.00 for agility (ranked 12).

Speaking of October birthdays as I was the other day re. Rayner, I was quite amazed at how many of the 25 Twomey named today in his top 25 were born in October, with a couple more born in the 2nd half of September and two born in November.

I've been following the drafts since about 1995 and one thing I've long taken note of is those who have the late-year birthdays, as they could be much closer in age to some of the best prospects in the following year's draft than they are to some of the best from their own crop (and in some cases are a year behind them at school) and I was quite shocked at how many of that 25 were born in mid-September and later.

11 of them, including 4 of his top 5, including Sutherland.

So not only is Sutherland behind from a development POV because of his cricket commitments and so-on, but he was also born in late October, so would potentially be close in age to some of next year's top prospects.

It also makes me wonder whether so many of the best prospects this year having late year birthdays might be affecting the way the quality of this draft is being viewed.

A bunch of them might still have a lot of development in them yet, compared to say guys like Petracca in recent years, who were born very early in the year and may have even been finished with school by their draft year.

Born in mid-late Sep:
D Fogarty
L O'Brien

Born October:
Rayner
Cerra
Sutherland
Dow
Coffield
Constable
Balta

Born Nov:
Brayshaw
Naughton

My vote for best post this season. So relevant to this whole talent assessment process is the fact many of these kids are 9, 10 or 11 months older or younger than their contemporaries.
