Randwick - Race 7 - 4.Malaguera @ BOB

5-9, +5.55 (55-127, +29.89)

Sale - Race 7 - 5.Manihi Mischief @ BT

While the Ellerton fave is in decent form its a sold non-winner having won just 2 from 21. For that reason I'm happy to take him on with the lightly raced Manihi Mischief. Can't have done much more this prep with two wins from two including in town last start. That took his record to 3 wins from 5. Has looked a 1000m specialist to some degree so hopefully he gets the 1100 today.

Sale - Race 7 - 5.Manihi Mischief @ BT

5-10, +4.55 (55-128, +28.89)

Wangaratta - Race 8 - 9.As Bad As Tyson @ $26

This guy looks the wrong price to me - two starts - in the market both times - and a pretty decent Maiden winner last time out. This is a super open BM 64 and can't see which he is such long odds here. Worth having a nibble to see if he goes on with it.

Wangaratta - Race 8 - 9.As Bad As Tyson @ $26

5-11, +3.55 (55-129, +27.89)

Cranbourne - Race 8 - 11.Dymphna @ $11

So close yet so far yesterday so backing up again with a horse stepping up out of their Maiden win. This filly has a couple of nice performances to her name here already and is thought highly enough off that she was also entered at Caulfield tomorrow. Does have the ability to throw in a shocker so hopefully shows her best today.

Cranbourne - Race 8 - 11.Dymphna @ $11

6-11, +13.55 (56-129, +37.89)

Morphetville - Race 6 - 9.Tuscan Sling @ $2.00

Lightly raced Weir filly looks really tough to beat having finished within a length (both in front of and behind) of Azkadelia at her last two starts. While theoretically not first up here - she has been freshened for this and has an outstanding record off a break. Faces some pretty moderate locals and apart from the stablemate I'd be pretty dissapointed if she didn't win today.

I was on Benny Dee. Geez that hurt. :(

Sha Tin - QE2 Cup - Highland Reel @ 6.00

6-13, +11.55 (56-131, +35.89)

Flemington - Race 5 - 1.Etymology @ $2.10

Placed VRC Derby and top 5 in the Australian Derby. Wasn't going that well this Autumn after an excellent spring but plugged on well at Randwick. albeit panels behind the Kiwi winner. There were some willing to tip him there but if he doesn't win this he may as well retire as I doubt he'll win another race.

6-14, +10.55 (56-132, +34.89)

Ballarat - Race 5 - 2.Secret Blend @ $2.20

Lightly raced gelding who usually performs best fresh in a race now decimated by scratchings. Has performed well in town in the past and was fancied to beat the promising Harbour Grey at Flemington on Australia Day. Subsequently just edged out here when fave before going for a spell. Hopefully ready to fire and win first up today.

#undersgod

7-14, +11.75 (57-132, +36.09)

Sandown - Race 4 - 3.Maraudamiss @ $2.70

Lightly raced mare who has gone from strength to strength since winning her Maiden earlier this prep. Quickly notched up 2 wins in BM64 company including when stepping out to 2000. Has been well supported at most of her career stats and seems to be quite tractable in running so hopefully can get into a nice position and keep her good form going.

Sandown - Race 4 - 3.Maraudamiss @ $2.70

7-15, +10.75 (57-133, +35.09)

Cranbourne - Race 5 - 3.Thelburg @ BT

Like the look of this promising gelding who has started fave at his two runs to date which included a dominant Maiden win back in January before going for a spell. Races up on the pace so should be able to lead from Gate 3 which is normally the place to be at Cranny night meetings. Think he has much more upside than the rest of the field and could win handily.

Gangstars curse or thelburg?

Here I am, sitting waiting for a train in Narbonne, FR, thinking "maybe I'll have a bet to pass the time."

I note there's a new post in the April best thread, I go to back it, first bet in nearly two weeks, and what happens? Paris' (which is where I'll be in five days, not that I'm bragging, cough cough was in Rome too cough) best bet name doesn't match the number.

Sheesh!

Good pick up. It's Thelburg

Chasing Chaos r5 bunbury $2.05

2-4 -1.25

GOSF r5 #5 Roguish Best Tote. (pretty short)

extremely well found already, managed to get a nibble on at 2.25 before really tightening up. I just think it wins.

4-4 +0.65

50% SR hardly in positive:drunk:

best be positive then

r8 - Belmont Zuccheros. $8

Cranbourne - Race 5 - 3.Thelburg @ BT

7-16, +9.75 (57-134, +34.09)

Hawkesbury - Race 8 - 2.Handfast @ $2.50

Was on track at Randwick when this guy won very impressively at the Championswamps. That made it 3 wins from his last 4 and while always liable to an O'Shea bounce he won like a horse with plenty of upside last time out. Hopefully box seats and powers away from them in the straight again.
