What do you guys think? Are we interested? Clearly not the power forward we require, but worth a look. At his best he is elite. Thoughts?

From a purely female "he's really hot" perspective, and it was lovely when they gave us Chris Tarrant, but I think he has his heart set on going back to Mick?

We have a fairly solid and deep midfield. He'd be nice to get, but we could spend that coin elsewhere more effectively.

We'll get better bang for our buck in a KPD or KPF. I'd like us to poach one of Melbourne's talls for a change.

Ross is a big fan, i remember him a few years saying he thought Daisy was the best player in the comp.
Yeh exactly, that's why I started this thread. I think he could complement our midfield. He's the only player on the open market worth chasing IMO.

Just throwing it out there, but would Dal Santo be in our Best 22? Would be a lot cheaper, will definitely buy into the system and will be hungry for another crack at a premiership with Ross.

Daisy is younger and peaking, but I'm not 100% convinced he'll buy in.

Present long term doubts over his ankle issues and not the type of player we most need better chasing KPP as said above.

And technically any Essendon player for example is a free agent if they want to be unless they re-signed another contract extension this year (breach of duty of care by Essendon means the contracts are void if the player wishes to walk and AFLPA has requested this be reocognised by the AFL) so there is a few there who could walk to us if they wanted.

If he wasn't injured, I would love thomas here. Can play in the midfield and up forward. Would add some attacking flair with a mainly hard nosed and no nonsense squad.

Still as someone mentioned, I would love to pinch a few WA guys from essendon if they come cheap.

Lets say his ankle passes the test and we couldn't get a free agent kpf then I'd have him in a shot. He'd be a massive upgrade on, say De Boer. Great tackler but better user of the ball and hits the score board.

Imagine if you would a forward line of Sandi/Clarke, Pav, Mayne, Sonny, Ballas and Daisy and tell me that doesn't get you funny in the pants region.

He's only 26 and sits right with our list management model.

Perhaps RTB was inflating his worth, trying to put Collingwood under salary cap pressure. Quality player in full flight but wouldn't surprise if that's what he was trying to do.

Dodgy ankle, a potential disaster recruit in the making. Freo don't need to risk it. Perhaps Carlton do?

Worth every cent (if injury isnt career threatening)

For us not worth it.
We have bigger problems now and in the future than mid/forwards.
Fix your weaknesses before strengthening your strengths.

I have always called for us to build the midfield at the expense of the KPF that everybody has been calling for. Even the last couple of years when people wanted the recruiting team's head.

Now we need a KPF! Let somebody else take him.

Considering his ankle issues, I don't know how you could justify throwing the required money at him. Who knows, there is a chance that he is basically finished, at least as an A-grade player. Then again, didn't the Pies reject SJ because they thought his ankles were beyond help? Someone (including the Pies if they keep him) will take a risk, maybe it will pay off.
