Toast Daisy's last qtr

Loved his last quarter for one reason and one reason only. It was the first real sign that the Daisy of 2011 is on the way back. Until now he's been patchy albeit that it seems he may have been asked to play a different role this year and there's a suggestion he has been recovering from injury. Don't get me wrong, I'm not suggesting that he hasn't been trying but the superhuman efforts that we saw for much of last year and in the last quarter against Adelaide just haven't been there. If this is a sign that he's ready to reignite the way he did last year then our whole season is starting to look a while lot brighter. With Beams and Sidebottom having taken their games to a whole new level and Daisy at his best our midfield rotation is starting to take on a fairly ominous appearance and will have opposition coaches tearing their hair out!

He certainly taught the next big thing in the AFL that he still has some work to do. Daisy matched him for three quarters and then like Black Caviar just curised away effortlessly.

Didak & Thomas were the really encouraging things from this game - apart from the actual win that is which was exceptional in the circumstances.

Not so sure that Thomas was "encouraging"....it was only June last year that he was in AA form so it was only a matter of time and fitness before he returned to his best........

But yes Didak was a massive revelation. He is like a new recruit!!

Yep a lot more dash than we have seen for a while, thankfully the new heirachy values getting players TOTALLY right before rushing them back.

His desperate attempt at a full stretch spoil in the last was awesome.
Missed it by millimeters but the effort was there.

Daisy in full flight is one of the things we have missed the most this year.

Hahah never seen anything like that before. Reminded me of his spoil in the 2010GF (not sure if replay). He is just about horizontal jumping in front of Riewoldt

He was great, it was the Daisy of old, and once again Bucks was right, he said give him time to get close to full fitness and he will return, and he did.

His gut running in that last quarter is what makes Daisy so good, when the opposition are tiring, he finds another gear, and makes us almost unbeatable.

He really is a "tool" (in a good way) we can use late in games to simply break the hearts of the opposition.

Daisy's back, and the rest of the competition are shitting themselves.

Oh, and did you hear Dermie call him "Daisy Williams" last night, I did chuckle at that.

I find that Dermie always sounds as though he's been on the bong when he is speaking.
