”It could be the worst decision in history if they don’t fire in the preliminary final,” he told SEN Afternoons.
So he personally thinks it's a good decision but it also could be the worst decision in the world.
Ok. Talk about exaggeration and having a Bob both ways.
It is a worse decision than Hitler invading Poland?

Seriously though both teams who won qualifying finals last year lost to interstate teams in the prelim. How can anyone say this is a bad thing when there's no evidence to suggest otherwise. Sit around for 2 weeks waiting for qualifying final... effectively win that by half time and they have to wait another 2 weeks before the next game. If they do come out and lose it will have nothing to do with going to the Gold Coast for 2 out of the 15 days they have to prepare.

Why cant a club mix things up? everything else the crows have tried the past 19 years has failed... why not try something else? as someone mentioned above.. the two teams that had a week off last year stumbled in prelim final week, so mix it up a bit.. try something new. just another excuse for morons like Dal santo, Rucci and Jane Cornes to write about if the Crows lose.. to try and be relevant and to try think they are good for questioning it. f**k off you morons and disappear!

Too many mouths in football all buying for a job. It's a cut throat industry that's why so many aspiring AFL journalists and/or media chasing ex players say controversial things, (whether they believe in what they're saying or not) it's so that they can get a radio/media gig or a regular column in the paper.

Kane Kornes springs to mind. He has almost lost all credibility because he speaks utter tripe for the sake of getting exposure.

Remember St kilda were almost unbeaten one year, and then at approx round 13 they decided to all go to the movies mid week instead of training? It raised eyebrows, and predictably the team performance dropped off the rest of the year.

geez, haven't ADE worked out by now how much of a grave yard Gold Coast is for footy teams?

in all seriousness, it's a good idea to get away.....go to the beach, have a few drinks on the balcony in the arvo, hit the clubs after dinner, maybe a glitter show....just unwind. come back and get serious for the prelim towards the end of the week.
