I'd say Morris is slightly ahead at the moment, he is more proven. I just went to check their ages and was shocked to see Morris is 27! Thought he was around 24-25. Hasn't played many games for his age. If I were starting a new team, I'd comfortably pick O'Brien, given his comparative youth, but for this year, they're hard to split. Morris more proven, O'Brien probably more room for improvement. I'll go Harry because I think he'll be AA this year, but both are excellent.

Tell us why you would want morris :p

Prefer harry o havent seen much of morris, in a way harry is the complete backman= has the size, strength, knowledge, positioning, speed + agility, he's a good long kick and most importantly has enormous courage.

o'brien

dale is a better stopper, but harry provides much better rebound, which is more important in todays game imo

...now this is getting a bit dumb.

I'd easily have Harry'O, not only because he's younger, but has the potential to be a better all-round defender than Morris. Dale will probably always be the better stopper but Harry has a great attacking side and was very influencial to Collingwood last year.

Absolutely not taking anything away from Morris though. He's a gun stopper and extremely important to our lineup. He's got the tools to hold down Riewoldt, something not a lot of defenders have.

I love Harry O'Brien. I just wish he was playing for the hawks. He's awesome and is way better than what Dale Morris. Dale needs to improve a little more. H is just that bit better.

Big H for me too.

A brilliant all-round defender. Can negate and provide rebound and attack.

Taking nothing away from Morris who does a great job on the "bigger" opponents but H is better.

Are you all serious. Your joking arnt you.
Dale is a far better defender than people give haim credit for. he could go around and get 20 disposil, but he doesnt coz he's role in the team is to stop his opponent. if thats the riewoldt or milne for the saints. he has flexability and is very durable

Morris is a gun.

With him and Lake you guys won't have problems against teams with great forward lines such as Hawthorn, St Kilda and Brisbane.

I would have Dale ahead of Harry but I can't say I've seen that much of O'Brien. Will be watching him very closely this year.

Its Morris at the moment. But Harry in the future. Gotta remember Morris has been playing at a high level for 3 or 4 years now. He plays tall and small. Harry only started playing really well last year, before that he was servicable and solid ( i think this is his 4th year), thats it. However Harry looks set to become a star this year. But Morris is def in front at the moment.

I came into this thread thinking Morris and I'm a little surprised by the love for Harry. I think Harry can overtake Morris at some time in the near future, but I don't think he's quite there yet.
