We're not good enough yet.

We don't have anywhere near the depth yet to delist Rowe.

Anyone thinking players who have played most games this season should be delisted are nuts.

The likelihood of another season with the same or similar injuries is likely.

I would have delisted Rowe years ago.
Let’s face it he’a only getting games this year due to injuries. We’ll agree to disagree.

Injuries are a part of the game, Rowe's place is on our list in the reserves until a player is injured which happens frequently. I don't rate Rowe either but the fact he's played so many games speaks for itself.

Delisting players to improve a list is about delisting older players who are past it and young ones who aren't going to make it. Not delisting depth players. Even the best sides such as Richmond this week need mature aged players who aren't good enough but can step up and play AFL. Also our leadership and strong role model policy applies as well.

There is no way that going into a season with Weitering, Marchbank, Macreadie and Jones is a good idea without some experience and I think that still applies for next season although I am hoping that next season we see these young guys play most games and Macreadie step up to fitness and to the level and guys like Rowe play out the season in the Northern Blues where his value to the list will still be high in the VFL.

Gotta have your 6-10 gamers on the list IMO.

Feel this deserves a bump. I think athletically he’s better than at any point we’ve had him now which is amazing. Another little win for Russell but credit to Dale. Yesterday he looked QUICK didn’t he? Stats showed he was. Top 5 for speed. Top five for sprint efforts. Super stuff.

He’s playing a slightly more lock down role this year so his touches are down a bit. But the little stuff is up. Intercepts. One percenters. Tackles.

Is still and will always be as hard as a cats head. Love having him in the side.

We look ahead to the Hawks and I’m happy for him to pick up Breust. That’s how well he’s going.

History needs to record Dale's part in us becoming a team again. We are a mirror of his own battles.
When Daisy came to us I felt challenged. How could I like a bloke like him. An enemy and a subject of derision when he was that skinny cocky youngster at the filth. And how he became a symbol for all that was wrong. Injured and lost and can't kick for nuts.

Well miracles happen and sometimes very slowly.
5 years later. He can play this guy. Yeah I love the man.

Very much this.
He was good, real good. It all came easy.
Then he broke, he’s had to work his arse off just to become OK again.
He’s maturing, it means more to him now.
He knows you can’t take it for granted.

Nice post B&B :thumbsu:

If he keeps playing the way he is at the moment he will end up in the 300 club.
Has significantly improved his game over the last 2 years and is a blue for life now he is exactly what our young squad needs great leadership and never shirks a contest plays for the jumper. Keep it up Daisy I'd love for him to be in our next flag.

What a difference getting fit and having a good pre-season makes. Was playing good footy last year and deserved the new contract, but I was expecting that he would be pushed out during the year. Changed my mind watching the Scum JLT match, clearly in our best team, and he’ll get another contract again.

Found myself thinking while the game was on that Dale is no longer "ex Collingwood".

He is 100% a genuine bluebagger and one of my favourite players this season. A fantastic ambassador for everything that's great about footy.

Having his little girl in his arms wearing the Blue jumper will do that to you.
