I've mentioned this in other threads over the last few years, but there are very few Carlton footballers that I have seen over the years who have put their body and safety on the line more than Thomas.
really?

Loved seeing Daisy carry his daughter off the field wearing his #39.

Become a really good clubman and terrific role model for the kids, one thing I have noticed him, especially on replays, is when he makes a clanger of a kick (which he still does from time to time), he goes out hell for leather chasing and tackling, trying to make amends.

That is the kind of ethos I want all our starting 22 players carry into every game.

Daisy is one of my favourite Carlton players. He is dedicated, passionate, couragous - owns is mistakes, and makes a massive contribution. He rarely stuffs up, is by FAR the best kick in the team and will do anything asked of him.

He took a pay cut for the club (few would do this), and yeah - Matilda.

Dale is also a bloody good bloke off field - you don't often get to see the personalities of players, but Daisy is one of the few blokes I absolutely KNOW I could spend a weekend fishing/surfing/camping etc with.

All round - top bloke is Dale Thomas.

.

Too old to outrun his opponents- but too smart to get beaten too often. Absolutely LOVED his running intercept mark on weekend to cut off what was looking like a perfect centering ball to an unmarked bulldogs player - stopped their momentum dead.

Has shown he could add a lot of value playing in a forward pocket - when a few of the younger faster blokes start pressing for defensive inclusion.
