Epitome of an entitled brat.

Nah, this is the epitome of an entitled brat.

Congrats and thanks to Daisy. A premiership player and a great talent. He was really something those first years at Collingwood.

I think you miss the central point - he left US - for more money - AFTER he ignored medical instructions to continue his surfing whilst rehabbing.

I loved the kid as much as any here now, but he proved to be a mercenary little pr1ck.

He left for Mick. Money was secondary. They had a special bond. It was easy to see if close to the club at that time. Mick would often kick to kick with him in the rooms before games.

Still remember his debut game - round 1 against the Crows under the roof. He had the crowd on their feet with a couple of goals and a hanger within the first half of the first quarter. Despite losing that night, it marked the start of a sustained era where winning games became a far more frequent occurrence for our footy club.

Also there’s not many footballers, alive or dead, that have been capable of finishing like this on their opposite foot. Easy to forget what a talent he was.

Should never have cut his hair short either. I know I sound like a boomer when I say shit like that but seriously after he cut the locks the highlights were few and far between. Apologies for the consecutive posts but I’ve now had several beers and time to reflect and thoughts just keep coming to me 🤷‍♂️

On that note I watched some Alan Didak highlights yesterday. He had an awesome right foot which I had forgotten about.

I think they made the list management decisions now on Thomas and Simpson so now Thomas can have a proper sendoff and say goodbye. Well handled by them.

... except for it being the wrong decision. Has walked into the 22 (when available) for years, and will poll well in the B&F. And it's not like we needed his list spot for yet another kid - we're 16th, so there's no shortage of lesser-talented players to delist instead. Very disappointing decision.

I think he can be proud of his efforts for us (wouldn't have said that a couple of years ago), and I wish him the very best with whatever comes next. I also hope he is reconciled with Collingwood quickly - life is too short for lingering bitterness over a storm in a teacup.

Didak would be a gun in todays game
Suggest he would be a gun any era any time.

High skill level. Just a terrific type.

Didak has become very forgotten about since his retirement. Probably not as good for as long but his best was at least as good as what Paul Chapman used to put up. Didak was a superstar and very versatile also.
