Bloody Caracella, Can't be any more right with what you said... lazyness.

Caracella wasnt going to play until Clement pulled out. He is being eased through at the moment. He is a casual player but he is skillful. We dont have many.

My only beef with Thomas is his height. Not as tiny as murphy but pretty small. And if today is indicative of his kicking depth he wont be much better than average.

Thomas is now 184 , after being drafted at 182 , that's a bit over 6 ft and a fairly standard height for an AFL mid.

Denis Banks was 28 for 4 years running.

If thomas is 184 Im 7 foot.

Whats the average age for someone to stop growing?

Sometimes males don't stop untill they're around 20.

Dale Thomas looks VERY young in the face and in his stature, I'm guessing he still has a bit of growing and alot of developing left in him. Given he looks like a 16 year old I am very happy with his start. Should be a good player for us.

only watched 2nd half on CTV but i think i saw 3 shots at goal for 1 point return. considering his generally excellent disposal he was a bit of confidence away from being a match winner.

if you're gonna write tongue in cheek posts you've gotta write it tongue in cheek, not write it like a carlton supporter:eek:

Excuse me posting on your Board Magpie fans, and delete if you like.

Thomas is one of the recruits I am really looking forward to seeing, and very pleased to be able to get a look at him at this very early stage. Who knows if the recruiters have got it right? But there is something exciting when a Club plucks someone a little from left field as it indicates there is something a sbit special about a player, whcih may or may not evolve, but if it does, fantastic.

There's no point mucking around with false hope and mislaid potential - this is the season for the early write-off.

Thanks Dale Thomas for proving to Collingwood fans once again the ineptitude of our recruiters.

We are the only club that would take someone who drops 10m short in a set shot from 40m and misses one in the open from 25m at #2 in the draft, ahead of the silky skilled player every intelligent football judge expects.

OK mate, you are offically the stupid Collingwood supporter in this forum, first of all the kid had a real dip against a very talented Sk Tilda outfit. He laid some nice tackles and disposed of the ball nicley under some pressure. When he took that shot, it was late in the game and you could tell in his face that he was run off his feet!!!!

I would like to see you take a ******** from 45 meters out mate and make the distance. you have already won TOOL OF THE YEAR! CONGRATS!

if u watched the tac cup he kicked a goal right on 50 my suspicions is that this shot clock is the worry for majority of the forwards as it is rushing their kicking routine. He will no doubt get better.

Kennedy cops the same crap elsewhere because of Clark's debut and it's just ********weak of supporters to write someone off after practice matches.
I hate it more when a young player receives crap because of how another player is playing. Hypothetical situation: say Xavier Ellis makes a blistering debut Round 1, Thomas makes an ok but not spectacular debut also. Random Hawthorn supporter says Thomas is crap.

Is that called the Andrew Walker/Luke Hodge/Johnstone/Fraser complex? ;)

Seriously Collingwood fans, you should be excited. The kid is amazing. He towelled us up in the 3rd quarter of the NAB game. Pity he suffered from heat stroke after that.

You've got every right to be hopeful about the year coming. Though do you think most of the decisions went your way today? I can think of two that went our way, the 50m Matt Car got, but subsequently missed. And also the mark Pavlich was paid despite dropping the mark.

Apart from those two, the majority went your way. As is evident by the 13-18 free kick count.

Anyway, apart from that small whinge, good game.

This thread is insane. Some Hawk fans wrote Roughead off early too - now he's adored at the club. Give the kids a chance.

its only the nutcases that start slamming the kids this early, not even worth reading their garbage posts. do u reckon that thomas is in ur starting 22, have a feeling that he might play 22 games this year.

didnt see the game last night, how did thomas and stanley go ?

Watched the game last night and came on here to see what you guys thought of Thomas. I was really impressed at his game last night and he showed he is a good pick up for you. Couldn't believe the start of this thread.
