Insert backtrack..... :D

Cmon mate your having a dig at us in general and dont deny it. Your initial comment left a get out clause that you just played in case this was the reaction you got and i can see through you mate. ;)

Oh and,

:p
My initial comment was tongue in cheek, ie the EMOTICON. They're there for a reason.

My second comment, which I posted in quick succession defined my POV.

The hype was there... and it was misplaced.
Honestly STO this is what pissed me off the most at the start of the season. How we were in the first few in Superbowl betting was beyond me after just winning our first playoff game since 96 the previous year.

I had no doubt we were on the up and getting better etc and a genuine playoff team after winning the NFC East last year but SB chances = Very slim IMO and my biggest concerns were our OL and our coaching staff and well what do you know. :(

You'd struggle to find a Dallas fan who hasn't been concerned about our O-Line for quite some time. Especially after the beatdown at the hands of Minnesota in the divisional playoff last year. Not to mention the departure of Flozell Adams.

I remember a few fans (not from this site specficially) who thought that the departure of Flo would actually improve the o-line.

Always thought it was interesting.

In alot of ways, the Dez Bryant flash took away a bit of focus on where the team actually needed to improve. Its never been a lack of recieving threats that has held the Cowboys back.

I guess there may have been a bit of hope for some that losing Flozell would mean less offensive penalties. That hope died pretty quickly when we signed Alex Barron.

I am spewing i missed todays game and a few people ( not here ) are complaining about Miles PI call and the fact that it gets let go 90% of the time and he was stiff to have it called. Also the Harvin kickoff return for a T.D is a talking point and the numerous holds missed that allowed Harvin to go all the way.

Now dont go all uppity on me and complain etc because i am blaming the Officials as i HAVE NOT seen the game so i cannot comment but i would be interested to hear opinions from people that did and wether these decisions were right or wrong etc and if they were talked about and debated at all????

I actually had some hope in Barron ( Hangs head in shame!! ) and thought we may get more out of him and improve his technique and diminish his penalties but it wasn't to be.

I have massive manlove for Austin but the PI was there. A clear push. Frustrating part was that he could have made the play without it.

On Harvin's return... it didn't get scrutinised much at all. Don't recall there being any discussion on holds etc, but I didn't look very closely at that replay. I was too angry.

Yep no probs and when you lose like this people are looking for answers and reasons and Officials are sometimes the easiest targets.

Will try to catch the replay soon as i forgot to set the I.Q box to tape it before i left for work at 5 am and remembered at work that i forgot!

Honestly, i think Free has been playing well, so that should of improved our O-Line. Unfortnately injuries in pre-season and age has caught up with the rest of them this year. IF it wasn't for our basic stupidity, we would of won of couple more of those games.

Okay, well with Romo's potentially season ending injury, even "fools hope" has been extinguished altogether.

Only positives to potentially come out of this season will be a high draft pick and the possibility of the organisation finally getting a shakeup.

Loving Dez though. :D

Yup, about sums it up.

One thing that always puzzles me is that back up quarterbacks are not a priority for many teams. Talk about putting all your eggs in the one basket in regards to the most important position in the team.

Surely we won"t be going with Kitna in Romo's absence? Might as well look to bring someone in or go with McGee (although he will get creamed) for the future.

Yeah, I suppose it is hard to find a balance in having two starting quality QBs. There is clearly tension in Philly re: Vick/Kolb.

Also hard to give multiple QB's enough hands-on training time with the offensive team.

I heard them say that, but geez ... imagine a Broadway understudy barely knowing the lines, when you have spent millions on the rest of the cast. It might be wasted time, but I would be treating them like closers in baseball. If you are up late, give them some time to run some plays, and hook Romo off in training a few minutes earlier. My god, he was miles off with his passing touch and looked like he was chained to the ground.

The main thing is we know we are nowhere near as bad a team as our performances indicate (cue arrival of NFC East rival flog posters )

We just had a bad start with poor discipline resulting in some early unexpected losses, it's killed any chance to build momentum and it ended in disaster today.

Reload over the off season, enjoy the excitement of a high pick (some nice DEs on offer by the looks of it), and start over next year (perhaps with a new head coach). We're still a side that is tracking upwards over the medium-long term.

Our WR unit is going to take us places. Austin, Bryant, Williams is so exciting.

I hear what you are saying, but it is so sad to be talking about reloading for next season, when we are in the first half of this season. Especially so knowing the talent we have in the team. Here's hoping they all continue to stay on for yet another hopeful tilt, and that we have no more serious injuries.

Yeah, early collapses are the worst kind. If there signs of player angst at the end of the season, Jerry will have to give them something to hang their hat on for 2011. Phillips may be the sacrificial lamb.

Apprently we are the first team to be 1 - 5 and not lose any games by more the 7 pts. We have been in every match but killed ourselves with our stupidity and, of late, our weak ass defense.

Wade's main calling card was his defense. It has been terrible this year and i cannot see how he can function a HC if his DC duties deserve him to be sacked. We need a new secondary coach and a new HC (not Garrett) at least.

Romo being gone is terrible, at least it is not his throwing arm and maybe he can spend his time tudoring Mcgee. Hopefully this will ge tthem to take our O-line issues seriously. It will be a long dark season unfortunately.
