Destination End Zone goes BANG with a ton of recieving yards and a TD to boot!!!!

What a win and our young WR is going to be a star!! Awesome hands and VERY rarely drops it when he gets his mits on it!! Good to see the D get going and Kitna proving more than capable of slinging the ball. :thumbsu::thumbsu:

So is it good we won or not... If Garrett gets results he will then get the full-time gig. I feel uneasy about that considering he had one job and the most talented side of the team and wasnt getting it done.

Unless he intentionally held his good plays until after Wade was gone (say from after week 3)

Im in preference of a complete refresh of the coaching staff and styles. Getting rid of one man surely isnt going to fix the bigger problems

I dont want Garrett as much as you Danielz but today was a SWEET win!!

The remainder of the season will decide his fate allthough i really think ( or hope) JJ goes with a Gruden/Cowher type coach for us next year and someone with the runs on the board.

I really don't think Garrett has what it takes but i have been wrong before and honestly ANYONE could of coached us this week and got that result as the players have been stung into action by all and sundry in the media and make no mistake these players have pride and are competitors.

Next few weeks will be interesting and the improving Lions will be NO pushover next week for us as they have some serious weapons and must be respected.

Great win and i just hope garret gets the boys up week after week and we cause some damage to the teams trying to make the playoffs. If Garret does not get the gig what about Tony dungy i think thats his name.always liked him when he coached.

Good win. Will have to download to watch.

I think Jerry wants Garrett to be the full time HC next year. If he puts the runs up on the board, he'll get the gig. This was just one week though, you sort of expect that "my job is on the line" lift the first game. We'll see how he goes for a few weeks.

Not completely convincing against the Lions from what I have read, but their tails are up and they look to give a crap now. Too little, too late, and each win costs us draft position, and secures Garrett's position, but it is still pretty good to see what we are capable of. Also kudos to Kitna who is finding some touch.

Just finished watching the game.

Still grinning from Kitna's rushing touchdown. What a moment! :D

How impressively easy was Dez Bryant's jump catch. Just put it up there and he'll grab it.

After watching wide receivers time and time again put down balls they are entitled to take throughout the NFL, I guessed that the ball was just too hard to catch unless it was right out in front. Bryant is taking marks over opponents. Hope he never loses that touch, makes a QB's job so much easier.

Romo back doing a bit of light throwing. At least a couple of weeks away. Should we just sit him out for the season?

Two comments on that story have me shaking my head.

Not broke.....don't fix it! Sit out Romo....take a chill pill, we are trying to make the wildcard :)
Yeah, don't think so mate.

I'd be trading Romo at this point if I was the Dallas GM. Kitna is clearly playing better football than Romo was.
Yes, trade your gun QB and go with the 38 year old full time. Sheesh.

I've tried, I really have... to give Roy Williams some love. Sure we gave up a lot to get him, sure there was a lot of expectations but he had gradually found his feet and a small role in the offence and has been good in the red zone...

BUT today... that fumble... on thanksgiving day to ice the Superbowl champs... do they still give the death penalty in Texas?

In Williams defence it was an awesome play by Jenkins. And he had played alright up until then.

I have noticed a lot of leave Roy alone articles coming out because he faced up... BUT he fumbled the ball, he allowed it to be stripped... Sure it was unexpected and all BUT cmon man!

I think if u do a lot of other things right you earn that forgiveness but with his drop history and small production you have to wear it

Yep. :thumbsu::thumbsu:

This is not the only game RW has cost us while at Dallas with his drops and fumbles over the years.

Give his possy to Dez and trade get him out do what ever it takes and bolster the paper thin secondary. Besides Jenkins we have NO ONE with talent in the secondary and Newman is the most overrated CB EVER. Sensabaugh is poo along with Scandrick and Ball.

Considering they was Dez played yesterday, i wouldn't be so quick to give him Roy's spot. It was a great play by Jenkins. To strip it and get it into his possession at that speed, was something else.

It's a shame for Roy. A couple of those plays will define his time at Dallas.

I have lost count how many games Roy Williams has cost us and he is a liability who is playing with an over inflated ego that comes from being a high draft pick and he has no more talent than what Hurd does. How long does it take before you cut a man loose and realise he is not up to it. Lions hammered us with this trade and the only thing keeping him in the team is JJ's ego to somewhat justify the stupid trade to get him and cutting him would admit the trade was a mistake.

Saints had double coverage on Dez all game and Kitna was lucky if he threw 1 catchable ball his way all day. Dez has shown enough allready halfway through his first year that he has RW covered. Yes he had a bad game yesterday against the reigning SB champs but FFS Dez has had more good games than Roy allready and is half way through his rookie year. Roy has never had a decent set of hands and it was his athleticism and raw ability along with potential upside that saw him drafted so high but it has sadly never come on.

A lot of deadwood needs to go next year and some big names are included IMO starting with Newman and Williams and no one is safe especially the RB's as we are carrying 3 who wouldnt get a start with any other team as a No1 RB and even Witten i feel is expendable IF a decent trade eventuated and Bennett is capable of playing the same role with the same looks Witten gets. Hard decisions need to be made this coming off season and to many players are getting paid on reputation and not performance and/or ability right now at this stage of their careers.

Our drafting strategy next year must have a massive focus on the OL , and the defensive secondary with RB also becoming a concern but this MAY fix up with the OL improving. If a decent trade becomes available for one of our RB's or Witten/Newman/Williams for example we must seriously negotiate these sorts of things and show due diligence in making us better next year and in the future.

Williams had a couple of decent blocks yesterday, one in particular helping Austin run in his 60yd TD. Real team stuff. Don't think it would have lost him too many credits.
Which was a hold by Witten and shoulf have comr back but yeah you give 'some' credit.

At the end of the day it comes down to value for money. Roy cant be blamed for what Dallas gave up to get him nor what they pay him.

At the end of the day we have three receivers who are probably in the top 30 salary wise? That money needs to be in linebackers or the secondary.

....and Newman is the most overrated CB EVER.
Hmmm, when you consider that Newman was the **choice pick** (#5) amongst secondary players in the 2003 draft, you really can't fault the pick... who have the Cowboys drafted since to help Newman become the shut-down cover he was "pitched by the media" to be back then?

Funnily enough, the Steelers traded up to snare Troy Polamalu @ pick #16 and the Raiders claimed Nnamdi Asomugha @ pick #31.

A couple DB's also drafted in the first round of that season didn't go on to last..

including: Andre Woolfork (Titans) << amusing name!! :D
and Sammy Davis (Chargers).

At the end of the day...these highly rated draft picks are worth their weight in GOLD due to their College output... unfortunately that translates to nada guarantee in 'fitting in' with any NFL team that drafts him.. there are so many elements that go into understanding why players don't perform.. coach-player conflict can't be underestimated... I think Newman will be better with 'smarter / harder working defenders' around him.. has gone stale with the Cowboys no doubt and I wouldn't put it beyond someone like Mike Holmgren to shape out a ingenious deal to get him to Cleveland. Cowboys to go fishing with a lucky dip draft pick ( Johnny Patrick??) which is no guarantee to be a better option than Newman. McCann may be showing tremendous signs of becoming Newman's replacement in the long run but what becomes of the rest of the secondary?? Dave Campo (Secondary coach) hasn't got alot of options with how poor you rate Newman's sidekicks.

Roy was the only one keeping us competetive at the start of the year. Had Barron not held, he would of won us the game against Washington.

Dez has been good since, but his tantrum on the sidelines was not good at all. Considering we threw the ball to him the next play had TO written all over it. Williams may be a lot of things but an ego driven player who demands the ball no matter what, he ain't. I give him credit for the way he turned himself around this season. The fact this fumble kills all that is a shame. Especially considering how our offense started and our defense played.

Newman is still probably our best CB, he just gives up the odd big play every now and then.. He needs help over the top on deep plays. I question our safety play on that one.

I think Witten has been used more as a blocker this season, hence his numbers being lower. He still is far more clutch then Bennett and i wouldn't be trading him away. Barber can go though.

Haven't seen the game yet but I would have thought that getting within three points of the reigning champs without our starting QB is a reasonably heartening effort, even if we blew a chance to win.

TBH, I thought Dallas were pretty disappointing overall regardless of the scoreline.

WR's dropping easy catches, D was poor from start to finish, ST's didn't really capitalise on our weakness in that area. 7 fumbles that pretty much all bounced Dallas's way. Play calling at the end was just stupid too. Players melting down on the sideline - and the coach giving in to the tantrum.

People can focus on RW all they like, but Dallas got all the breaks yet shot themselves in the foot time and time again.

Our momentum was stopped by a Bush drop for a certain TD & two very suspect calls around the half, gifting Dallas 10pts. The Bush fumble then put Dallas into a position where they were in control - and they blew it. This despite another drop that handed the Dallas D their only turnover for the game.

At least for Dallas their luck is changing. Two weeks in a row you've got all the breaks - and a win over the hapless Lions to show for it.

Great win today by the boys and we are showing the form we are capable of now and we would of beat both of last years SB teams in successive weeks had RW not fumbled that ball last week costing us the win.

Dez injury hurts and he is out for the year now with a fractured ankle and he will have time for a good recovery and fully heal up and return next year even bigger and better. :thumbsu::thumbsu:

Hate to say this but right now we look good under Garrett and it will be interesting to see who coaches us next year.
