Romo was doing reasonably well. It was the defense that killed us. They have settled a little now. Though they couldn't stop NO or Indy on final drives in the fourth. I wonder if Garrett has altered his play calling a little as well.

Good win though, will have to watch it. It does make you wish we didn't stuff up so much at the start of the year though.

Barring a massive decline in performance over the last few weeks, I think Garrett has already shown enough to get the full time gig.

Isn't it great when we actually use our running backs. :thumbsu:

Very odd turnaround for us! We still can't stop a thing but luck and big plays are all of a sudden falling our way. I don't know how it correlates to Garrett but we'll take it...

Under Philips we lost 5 of 6 games by 7 points or less... culminating in the 38-point 'firing' loss.

Then the coach changes (and QB prior to 38-pt loss) and in 4 weeks we get...

3 wins and are a Roy Williams fumble away from a 4th, against the two Super Bowl teams, NY Giants (and Detroit)... with thanks to...

- 3 Interceptions returned for a TD (101yds, 40yds, 31yds) + 5 others (we had 5 prior to this in 8 games)
- 1 Punt return touchdown
- Jon Kitna

We still can't defend, we still can't run with any consistency, our kicking game is average at best (missed FGs)... Kitna is throwing 70% through the last 4 games, 250 yds... 7 TDs, 2 Ints (AND rushing 22.5 a game!! running for his life I can only guess)

Its a fine line between success and failure ________________

Great win Dallas and its great to see we are having a go and sticking it up a few teams.A few team will be worried about playing the Cowboys now.Garret has the job in the bag.Great job and to hear the boys have to wear the pads on Wendsdays is a great thing.Go the Cowboys.

Don Meredith passed away sunday.
Dalls QB an broadcaster. Shame he never got over Green Bay in the two champ games in the 60's

Came damn close in the Ice Bowl- had Hayes going deep in the last minute, but couldn't quite pull it off.

A real character of the game, and a big part of the success for MNF- "Jeff and Hazel's baby boy, and BJ's little brother..."

And of course, "Turn Out the Lights"

RIP, Dandy Don

So, has Beuhler (sp) been fired yet? Cannot believe his fail kick put an end to McGee's fairytale effort... also makes me wonder WHY when the season was over we kept playing Kitna, we should have developed McGee. Garrett clearly coaching for himself rather than development of the team.

With the season from hell allmost over we can still draft as high as No. 5 with a few results going our way and a loss to Philly next week which is HIGHLY probable!

With the team needs we are in a difficult possy if Patrick Peterson (CB/S) goes before our pick as that is who i think we will target. IF PP goes before our pick i can see us trading down to get a later pick in the 1st Rd to get our hands on Solder , Carimi or Sherrod (The best 3 OT's in the draft) and these guys do not really warrant a top 6 or there abouts and if we are lucky with our high 2nd Rd selection i really think we can nab 2 of these blokes giving the OL a massive boost overnight!!

Prince Amukamara ( CB ) is the smokey pick but i dont think he will be as good as Peterson in the NFL.

If we do go OL with our first picks there is still plenty of talent in the 3rd Rd and later to get our hands on a decent S/CB with the likes of Duenta Williams , Jeron Johnson and DeAndre McDaniel who are all projected to go after the 2nd rd.

Then there is a matter of caoches. Need a new secondary coach. Figure out a new DC and if we want Garrett. Not sold on him but i think it will happen.

Then the issues at safety and RB. Barber is probably gone. Well should be at least.

First game I can recall this year that I hope we lose (for the sake of draft position). It would mean a sweep by the Eagles, but at least they won't be able to beat us three times this year. Will also be the first game all season that I won't watch as it wouldn't feel right with these mixed emotions. I would get enjoyment from a win too, but it would be more shortlived. Regardless, it'll be nice heading into the draft in a good position for a change, haven't been in the top half for about five years now, let alone a potential top-10 position. For me this week is about player achievements:

McGee - wish him the best

McBriar - leading the league in average and net average, hopefully this is maintained

Witten - needs 10 receptions to reach 100 for the season (unlikely), or 7 more to achieve a new career high. Already reached career high in TD's. Also needs 44 yards to reach 1000 for the season.

Ware - equal second in league with sacks, 1.5 behind leader. Due for a big one, usually finshes the season strong, Eagles have given up equal third most sacks, will be facing Kolb instead of Vick

McBriar - finishes #1 in average and net average, just pipping Lechler (Raiders)

Witten - surpasses 1000 yards for the season

Ware - 3 sacks catapults him past Matthews, Hali, Wake etc. to become the NFL sack king

Plus we have secured the #9 draft position. Can't complain too much about the win harming our position since our draft position rivals such as Detroit, Houston and San Francisco also claimed wins

As an added bonus, we finish above Washington in the division yet pick before them in the draft.

Yep, this is what our season has come down to. . .
