We also need to protect Romo as the Eagles have a huge defensive line and can rack up sacks like there is no tomorrow.

Romo needs to stay out of trouble and pressure situations and this is where the running game becomes so important to negate the blitzes Philly will run towards Romo.

I dare say if we can rush for around 150-200 odd total yds combined next week we should win and it looks to be a cracker game coming up with the history we have with them. :thumbsu::thumbsu:

Sean Lee has for me been the surprise packet of the year so far.. We are starting to build a solid foundation on D, I just wish we had of upgraded over Newman or Jenkins. Scandrick and Elam are balling!

What do people think the split will be at RB when Felix returns.. Surely they are going to keep Murray more involved in the offence than before?

DeMarcus Ware is the key to us beating the Pheagles.

He is in career best form and he needs to be on his game again. If he can break the line early and split Vick in two a couple of times, we'll get the mental edge nice and early.
Jason Peters has done pretty well matched up against Ware before.

Im interested in your run defense v McCoy. You guys have the top run defense in the league, and McCoy has arguably been the leagues best RB thus far.

My views on the game considering the Rams board is dormant with only three members.

You're offence is easily a top 5 offence (Patriots, Saints, Cowboys, Packers and either Eagles or Texans) now that you can run the ball. Even better is Romo sticking to the gameplan and the game to not do stupid passes. Miles Austin and Dez Bryant could of had a career day with our DBs but instead you just had a career day on the ground with DeMarco Murray.

HOWEVER your defence is shit. It's a three man defence with Ware, Lee and Ratliff. The rest of the players may as well not be on the field. Sure Elam made some players and the other players had their moments but AJ Feely was able to move the chains with his motley crew of WRs. Against any other team it simply wouldn't be good enough.

Don't get ahead of yourselves Dallas after that one game. You guys might of had a great day on offense but your defence leaves a lot to be desired. At least now Romo won't lose you a championship so I guess that's something to celebrate.

Good summary Larkis and i agree to an extent.

The 3 blokes you mentioned are all LB/DE players and TBH our secondary has sucked for the last 3 years at least. We have always had the ability to get to the QB with Ware and the likes but this does not happen every game and thus puts the secondary under pressure when the opposing QB has time in the pocket.

Elam i have a bit of time for and he has the ability to make plays and was a decent signing for us without being a star/pro bowler type. Jenkins is the player i am worried about as his 2008/2009 season was magnificent before he fell off the perch last season while struggling with injuries and he still has time to step up this season and i think he can be an excellent CB in the league.

T Newman is rubbish and the most over rated corner in the league and sits to far off his man and gives up to many big plays. ( See the New Orleans game late last year ).

Now that we have upgraded the OL this year in the draft i would imagine we will be taking a CB/FS first up next draft and really boost our secondary.

There is sucking, then there is allowing a backup QB with no WR's to move the chains. OLine was really good, you don't get someone running over 200 yards in a game with poor blocking. With Witten being able to block and catch as well, it's close to a premier OLine as you can get. Can't recall any penalties caused by the Dallas OLine for false starts or holding (might be more of a reflection on the Rams DBs). Romo did get sacked though and he didn't really pass much to put the O-Line under constant pressure.

The second concern I had for the Cowboys was Dez Bryant. At times it looked like Al Harris contained him. Al is a smart DB but Dez Bryant should of used his physical gifts to outclass him. Hopefully Dallas review the game tape and put Bryant to better use.

CB for Dallas looks to be a certainty in the draft however as I learned with the Rams draft last season don't expect to draft your needs in round one. Ryan or Garrett might want to get a player that excels in their system. At least you know you got the RB you guys needed.

The pressure is certainly on the 2-4 Eagles in the Week 8 match up which helps the Cowboys. Lots to like about the 'Boys chances with the fact that the venue isn't a factor. Dallas can make it 5 from the last 7 with a win from games played @Philadelphia. Very impressive stat to have. Also keeps Cowboys in touch with G-Men who host the dumbarse Fins but that's where the G-Men cream-puff schedule ends. Cowboys are in the box seat to claim the NFC East if they can drive the the sword into the overhyped Eagles this week.

The stats really blown out by the 3-0 year.

The last game of last year shouldnt be included in any sort of 'streak'. We rested all of our starters, and still nearly won. Numbers can lie.

I dont agree that all of the pressure is on the eagles. We've been universally written off, whilst all of the pundits declare that the Cowboys are going to win the East.

Pity about Choice.

Wasn't long ago we were raving about Barber and Choice with Jones completing the set. Now Jones is the man with Murray the newbie hopeful. What is the backup quality if one of them goes down long term? How does Tanner go?

Edit: 6 carries in 4 games suggest we are going in raw but with a lot of faith. With Jones out another week, I wonder if we should have delayed a decision on Choice. Having said that, he always seemed a little small to me so maybe his yard average this year is more a reflection of him than some of his better years.

Good luck Tashard.

Disappointing display but that's how it is and Philly were to good and played their best game for the year.

Cannot believe we abandoned the running game with Murray's form and he only had 8 touches today and still rushed for over 70 yards with an average of close to 10 YPC.

Garrett really has me scratching my head with some of the play calling on offense and he still is far from a decent HC IMO.

Our D sucked with only Ware able to hold his head high but the loss of S Lee really hurt then Ratliff went off as well injured.

We have Seattle at home next week so it should not be to hard to regroup and i expect a decent win in our own backyard.

You werent really able to run. Down too big too early.

I also wouldnt read too much into Murrays YPC. He was running usually against a defense that was playing the pass.

Its hard to blame the offense for this... You guys only had like 18 minutes of possession.

Rob Ryans defensive game plan got you beat, plain and simple. He kept the safeties back all day, and let us have the runs, and intermediate routes. And we took them. All day, all the way up the field.

5am Monday morning. ( Melbourne Time )

I think the states are off their daylight saving time now and the games are on here 1 hour later. The early games usually start at 4am our time ( Vic) but that has switched to 5am from now on.

Austin looks to have done his Hammy! Just continues to get worse through injuries..

This looks like the typical Cowboys game which we dominate and end up losing through turnovers, penalties! Gotta tighten our red zone play give Murray the ball he has been dominating.
