What the **** is wrong with this guy...

Dez Bryant sued again

Cowboys receiver Dez Bryant is facing yet another lawsuit.

Ian R. Rapoport of the Boston Herald reports that Endurance Capital Fund, a New York-based company that helps athletes and entertainers purchase luxury items like cars, yachts and vacation homes, is suing Bryant because it says he borrowed $100,000 and has refused to repay the full amount he owes.

“This was a simple transaction with a loan agreement and promissory note reviewed by Mr. Bryant’s advisors and signed by Mr. Bryant,” the company said in a statement. “We held up our side of the bargain, now we are simply asking that Mr. Bryant follow through with what he promised to do. We have reached out to everybody from Mr. Bryant’s agent to his mortgage broker to try to get this debt repaid. Everyone acknowledges the debt, but nobody will come forward to repay it. This is a unique and disappointing experience. We have never had a client refuse to repay their debt before.”

The company has so far been unable to catch up with Bryant to serve him with the lawsuit, but it might serve him while he’s in the New York area to play the Giants on Sunday.

Bryant has previously been sued by two jewelers who said he failed to pay for hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of jewelry, and by a former landlord who said he failed to pay rent.

Jerry Jones reckons that Bryant has sorted it out, hopefully he's right...

It all comes down to Sunday Night Football, winner takes all. Hopefully, for once, we can step up when it counts.

I've given Jason Garrett more latitude than others have, but geezus, we are a poorly coached team. That is not a professional football team out there tonight.

So much shit has to change. Even if we had an owner/GM who was capable of making tough decisions (we don't)... where would you start?

We didn't deserve to be in the playoffs anyway. The offense is good when they are on, but seldom turns it on for more than half a game. The defense and particularly the pass coverage is pathetic. We let the Giants out of jail with elementary missed tackles and poor coverage at a couple of key points in the game, and failed to get it done from first and goal when it counted.

We wouldn't have gone beyond next week anyway. Some hard decisions to be made, especially defensively.

Just such a frustrating team to watch. So inconsistent, not just from game to game but from series to series within games.

The sad reality is that this team does not get the job done when it really matters. However, with the season on the line, how do we come out and play so poorly in the first half? It's inexcuseable and beyond belief, even by Cowboys' standards, that we could look so inept.

Our secondary is disgraceful, with Newman being a complete liability and most of the others not much better. Addressing this is surely the number one priority. The offensive line could do with some work as well.

This is maybe one of the best and down to earth articles i have seen about us for a long time. :thumbsu::thumbsu:

http://www.foxsportssouthwest.com/0...ding_cowboys.html?blockID=637998&feedID=10194

Sturm hits the hard issues with a professional approach that seems to be lacking in today's media and i can only hope Jerry Jones reads this and it is a massive wake up call and must read.

The organization has not passed the test yet again for a myriad of reasons. And, with all due respect to Emmitt Smith, mental toughness is well down the line. Smith might think that mental toughness is the sole explanation for a team not rising to the occasion in a place like New York, as he did in 1993, but, he played on a team that had many Hall of Fame-caliber players and depth that amazed any observer. Mental toughness is a great tiebreaker when talent is equal, but in this space, the premise is that the Cowboys have some very impressive top end talent, but not nearly enough strength on their roster to win a game like the contest that was asked of them on Sunday night.

here is what the past six drafts have yielded that were present and accounted for Sunday night:

2006: Nobody
2007: Anthony Spencer, Doug Free, Alan Ball
2008: Felix Jones, Jenkins, Martellus Bennett, Orlando Scandrick
2009: Stephen McGee, Victor Butler, John Phillips
2010: Bryant, Lee, Sean Lissemore
2011: Tyron Smith

That's out of 48 picks. None of these 48 picks have threatened to knock Ratliff, Ware, Romo, Witten or Austin out of their perches at the top of the roster yet. Lee, Tyron Smith, and Bryant may soon. DeMarco Murray shouldn't be forgotten. But, Spencer, Jones, Jenkins, and Bennett are all disappointments from where they were taken in the draft.

This is not a Tony Romo, Jason Garrett or Rob Ryan issue. They should share in the blame, but this largely remains a Jerry Jones issue. He has built a stadium that can host a Super Bowl. But he sure hasn't built a roster that can play in one.

I want to quote some more sections of the article but there are to many.

The problem with Jerry Jones is that the more evidence that amounts up pointing to a need to change, he just circles the wagons more and refuses to bow to external pressure.

It's an indictment on the private ownership model. It's a shame they aren't a member based organisation.

I actually think Jerry has had a couple of good years TBH.

I still think Ryan will work out okay after a pre season and hopefully a CB that can cover and tackle (unlike Newman). I mean, you can't blame him for Newman being hurdled and then the crap which led to the first TD.
Getting rid of Wade was a good call. Garrett still sits at 50/50 atm.
Robinson was a good pick up in FA so have Murray/Lee/Bryant and Smith been good draft choices. We need to figure out our D-line and secondary.

Our O-line got younger, I think both younger Centres will turn out fine. I don't think anyone predicted the stinker Free had this year after his performance last year.

Scandrick and Jenkins had fantastic '09s. I doubt anyone was criticizing the picks then. I have to wonder what Campo has been doing to them (we need a change there)

Our defence players suck. It's not Rob Ryans fault. Jason Garrett is a horrible head coach and cost us atleast 3 games.

@New England
@ Arizona

The guy has to be fired.
Tony Romo was Fantastic this season imo.

Sources: Dave Campo won't return

By Tim MacMahon ESPNDallas.com

Secondary coach Dave Campo will not return to the Dallas Cowboys' coaching staff next season, according to sources.

Campo has been on the Cowboys' staff for 18 of his 23 years in the NFL, including serving as the head coach during three 5-11 seasons from 2000-02. He was an original member of Jimmy Johnson's coaching staff in 1989 and earned three Super Bowl rings with the Cowboys in the 1990s. He returned to Dallas in 2008 after stints as an assistant coach for the Cleveland Browns and Jacksonville Jaguars.

Good to hear, but I hope he isn't just going to be the sacrificial lamb that Jerry can point to and say "See, I made a tough call!".

Many more changes are needed. The whole organisation needs an Argus review.

Sounds like we have made a few coaching changes. Apparently we have hired the Browns DB coach. Ryan bringing in his guys, I guess. Hopefully we see some better play from our secondary next year.

Not great news that Jenkins our only decent CB is having surgery on his shoulder...

http://espn.go.com/dallas/nfl/story...nkins-facing-4-6-month-rehab-shoulder-surgery

The time frame is 4-6 Mths which will have him back in time for season start but will most likely miss a whole Pre Season which is not ideal.
If 4-6, he'll miss the offseason mini camps and OTAs, but he should be coming back at the start of training camp in late July- like you say, should not be a worry for the start of the season.

Better to have it now than find it three months from now.

I guess the fact that the Giants eliminated the Packers, at least covers up partially, how awful we were against them throughout the season.
Well Giants are in the Superbowl. At least our season was put to the sword by a possible Superbowl winner.
