Carr is a great signing, as is Orton I think, but I have watched a lot less of his work. A lot of Denver fans wanted him over Tebow, but that might be the LOLreligion crowd just as much as the ZOMG GOD!!! crowd want Tebow.

Im still busy laughing at Pierre Garcon's contract at the Redskins. RG3 deal as well to a lesser extent.

Very happy with our signings so far and we are already a much better team than last year IMO.

Carr is the big fish for us and fills a massive hole. We will take Decastro now in the 1st rd of the draft to further boost the OL. :thumbsu:

Vickers is also a great get and a great run blocking FB for Murray to feast on! Massive upgrade on Fiammetta who was always injured.

Yeah really like this pickup. Seems like a real pro based on his interview on the Cowboys website.

Also nice to hear he was a Cowboys fan growing up - used to run around in a Troy Aikman jersey as a kid.

Living the dream. :thumbsu:

We've picked up
ILB - Dan Connor - I think he played a bit with Lee at Penn State

S - Brodney Poole - I take it Elam ain't coming back?

We seem to be address our defense, which is good. The are all guys in their mid 20s. No aging 30 yr olds, so hopefully they'll be around for a while.

Still need something on our D-line and O-line. I think the O-line guys will be back ups mostly. Need to get ourselves a number 3 WR as well but we may wait on the draft for that.

Pool is nothing to write home about and has had a heap of concussion injuries but i will wait and see before writing him off.

He can be a good cover S but struggles to get picks and his career high tackle count is only in the 60's and this will need to lift. In saying that he is an upgrade on Scanprick who is useless.

If i see more of these hits i will be happy, flag or no flag!!

He will need a new number though with us. ;)

Scanprick is our CB, dude

He'll be replacing Elam as Sensabaugh was given something more long term last year, I believe.

That a nice hit! As long as he doesn't concuss himself though :p
He played at Cleveland to start with, so I think Ryan had a part in it. Hopefully it works out.

Scanprick played many games at S or FS last year covering the middle and did SFA. I did not want a another deal for this guy but what can you do. Sensy is not much better either and Yes i am highly critical of our secondary as they have been the key in us losing many games last year and the year before. It seems i am not alone in thinking like this as well with Campo gone and a few changes made which is a great thing but we still have a few holes. :thumbsu:

We would of been lucky to have 3-5 coverage sacks all year due to poor coverage and stupid 10 yard cushions to so many opposing WR's.

Really? I didn't notice. Maybe that says something.

Jenkins will probably be gone at the end of the year. His contract is up and I doubt we will sign him considering the money we have thrown at Carr and Scandrick. I guess that depends on weather we move Scandrick to sign Jenkins. Either way, we need to draft another CB. We need a good FS as well TBH.

We should focus on OL/DL in the early rounds of the draft though.

Newman takes parting shot at Cowboys.

I didn’t play well down the stretch but I think we also didn’t play well down the stretch.
He is throwing rocks and it would be idiotic to say he did play well as we and the people that watch the game know all to well how much he sucked.

Newman has not played well for 2 years now at least and the stretch comment is misleading but i expect nothing less.

Game has passed him by and that's that. Leaving a parting comment to deflect blame on everyone else as well is immature and a comment i would expect to see at high school football level.

"Ohhhh it wasn't just me, the other guys sucked to"

Spare me the excuses and worry about your own game Terence not what others are doing and this is his biggest fault. He wants FS help at every play and you know eventually you have to make plays on your own in this league to survive.

Hope the door did not slam his arse on the way out and we get to play him next year so Dez and Miles can tear him a new arsehole. ;) :thumbsu:

The last line of the article speaks volumes and smacks the nail on the head......

So, basically, Newman thinks that if the rest of the team were a lot better, it would make up for the fact that he wasn’t good enough.

Not too fussed about Newman's comments. Once a team lets you go you need to do everything you can to promote your own brand to open up other career opportunities.

Just looking out for himself I guess.

Long term very ex- casual Cowboys fan here,1st time poster(ever since the Emmit Smith 2 rings,2 MVP adds) but over the last 12 months my interest in the NFL and the Cowboys has quadrupled.Mainly thanks to my house mate who is a manic packers fan

worried about the loss of robinson this season, but i guess we couldnt justify matching the $$$ Jacksonville paid him

Am impatiently waiting the full schedule to come out as i will be in the USA from the 1st July - 26th september and desperately want to catch a cowboys home game. However with us playing the Giants 1st game in, Im guessing that our first home game will be on the 16th Sept?but noting that we played 2 games away on the road to start 2011 Im a bit worried i will miss out

Can't say I'm sorry to see Newman go. Played well at the start but for the past few years he couldn't tackle if his life depended on it.

Hoping to be there for the first home game as well. If you can't make the game make sure to at least take a tour of the stadium if you haven't already. At least it gives you a little insight into the $170 ticket price. Couldn't believe how freaking massive it was.

Schedule released

Opening game against the NYG (as well all knew) with a long break before playing Seattle away which is a bonus.

No Thursday night football games, so no really short weeks which is a plus except for Thanksgiving, which this year is against the Redskins.

Last match of the season is @Redskins.

Prime time games

@NYG
CHI
@ATL
PHI

With other games having the possibility of being flexed later in the season of course.

Very happy with Claiborne. Seriously stoked.

First and second round pick a small price to pay for finally sorting out our ****ing secondary. Carr and Claiborne... serious talent injection!

any thought we might get a WR to replace Robinson next off?

With Austin's injury problems and Bryants inconsistency is this our next biggest need?

Or do we just go best available

WR is the least of our worries and if Romo gets protection he can put it on anyone's chest. Don't discount us trading to get back into the 2nd Rd and OL will be high on the agenda as well as a pass rusher to help Ware. I just do not know what order it will be!

Ecstatic we managed to get Claiborne and i gave us no hope of getting the best CB in the country in the draft in the position we needed to upgrade the most. Massive Kudos to Jerry as this was a massive move and has made our secondary a heap better already with other signings.

Very happy. :D:D:D

Handy kick returner too.

Interesting to hear one of the NFL Network guys say that they rated Claiborne as a better pure defensive back than Patrick Peterson.
