I guess most full-forwards would be looking for a club with a reliable midfield that can deliver the ball to them cleanly.

:D

That's worth a Brownlow vote.

As I said what we need to do is convince White that it would be his best move career wise to play for the Crows where he would be a walk up start.
Big Big statement !- pick 62, 2001 draft (3 years in system) with a bad ankle operation behind him?????? with how many AFL games?

Not saying that, just saying a 2nd round pick for his background is a big call ;)

I have been saying for a while now that we should go after Damon White 100 miles an hour. He would be a walk up start for us and would straighten us up to no end. I think we could possibly get him for our3rd round pick but personally I would be willing to give up our 2nd round draft pcik for him. Provided we get a pick for Stinger.

Ackland, I am not too keen about but if we are slighty interested, we could get him in the pre-season draft for sweet **** all. I can't see him staying on Port list for much longer. He hasn't played an AFL game for ages.
Ditto for me Stiffy.

Our 3rd round pick should do for White as it will be close enough to Port's 2nd round pick.

Forget Ackland.

Who a year before was ineligable to be drafted and was projected to easily be the top 10 pick in the strongest draft of all time if not for a broken leg sustained in 2001. Even then many considered him to be 2nd round draft pick.

The kid is a gun in the making and I wouldn't thik twice about trading our 2nd round draft pick for him. he would be a walk up start in our side. I would be stoked to build a foward line around Watts and White.

I agree with Stiffy. When I have seen him play he has impressed me. Nicely bult too, not a weed who we have to toughen up like Watts. He is already a big boy.

Stiffy have you been drinking from the bottles under yo mama's sink?!! ;)

Demonic Damon will cost us a lot more than a p1ssy 3rd round pick - kid's a gun.

20 years old (21 in August), 192cm & 92kgs, presents like a white chick with Oprah tickets - and since when has Port Adelaide ever done us any favours come tradeweek? It's always the other way around.

Don't you remember the favour we did with the Downsborough/Chalmers trade?

I am sure Fanta and Stewie just said to each other "We gotta look like we are doing something for our 100k salaries"

That trade was an absolute waste of everyones time.

Ahhhhhh, the memories that brings!!! :D

Each team bragging that they had unloaded the biggest dud of all time.

That rare opposite of the Win-Win ......... the Lose-Lose!! :p

The year before he was drafted msot recruiters said he was a top 5 draft pick but was too young to enter the draft. THe next year he broke his leg and missed most of the year which led to him being 'forgotten' and dropping down the order.

He was pretty highly rated.

Its a pity that injuries have ruined him. Williams said he would have been in the AFL side within 2 weeks had he not ruined his ankle. Then the next pre season Williams stated White would be our starting full forward in Round 1 but his ankle had to be re broken etc. which put him back even more.

Its just been one set back after another for him but hes been injury free this year and his SANFL form shows its been worth the wait. I just hope we give him the chance so he wants to stay because i will be ropeable if we let him go.

In regards to White Port rarely let players go that are required, and certainly not to Adelaide;)

I find that a little hard to believe, look at Billy Morrison - no one forgot about him after injury.

maybe you're right, but I can't really see what the fuss is about.

I reckon he can play alright.

I went to the Port - Richmond game and was very impressed with his game that day. 3 goals, marked strongly and looked a real forward prospect.

He'd have every right to be as surprised as I was that he got dropped the very next week.

He's been very injury prone though, so it's hard to put a true value on him.

Besides, Port will want more than he's worth IMO. Their trade price of anybody to Adelaide equals market price X 2.
