OK, without resorting to the propaganda from Collingwood supporters over the Stevens non-deal, can you tell us which of Port's trade deals in recent years were boorish and unrealistic?

They wouldn't have been done if they were boorish and unrealistic, would they? Which is why i said trade demands, not trade deals.

I'm not going to get into an argument over Port's reputation because you boys will never admit anything detrimental to your club, but you know very well you do have a certain reputation when it comes to trades, rightly or wrongly.

Actually, I don't. You and Collingwood supporters are the only ones that I've ever heard whinge about our trading. Quite seriously.

The nick stevens scenario didn't really count, considering we had one day to trade for him. At first he said he'd go to any victorian club and we were progessing along nicely

then he wanted collingwood, who would give us piddance for nick stevens. So then we dcided not to get screwed and let him go via psd

What other example is there?

Just as i expected, Porthos.
Well, you didn't exactly give us a way to respond otherwise, did you?

You haven't said where you've heard this from, or produced examples of our ridiculous demands, nothing like that. You're just spreading nasty rumours about us without providing any substance at all.

How could we not plead ignorance in these circumstances? You've given us nothing.

Love the histrionics.

I don't have to give you anything. It's my opinion on our board and as i said earlier, i'm not about to get into an argument with Port supporters as it's a totally futile exercise.

Have a good night.

He actually played pretty well in the same match as Watts played. He and our old mate Paul Lindsay were two of the more outstanding big guys on the ground.More an up field player than Watts and if Geelong was looking at him it would be as a CHF option. Moblity was good for big bloke, nice hands and can kick it well enough in general play, didnt see too many set shots.
Now if Port want to deal what would be fair for him? Who the hell knows.
We got Egan for nothing and he may well be a future CHB, we used an R2 on Thurley and White could be far more important in a structure than him.
Anyway , Id say 1st things 1st. Does he want to come to the Cats, hes from Perth and he may be more interested in a Freo offer if he wants to move

I miss Big Red.

He was limited but worked his arse off and was a great leader for the young kids to look up to.

On what i've seen, i'd say a second-rounder but i suspect Port would want a bit more.

Bartel, Enright, Mackie, Chapman.

These are the names being tossed around on the Port board in reference to trades for White.

If Choco and co. are thinking along the same lines any trade talks for White won't last very long.

I would be extremely dissapointed if Port decided to trade Damon after all they just signed him to a three year deal this year. Also the guy is a tremendous talent he just needs some serious game time under his belt which he hasn't got this year as Chocco & company continue to pick last years heroes. Damon is also only 22 years old & is a required player for Port so i would say that you have not much chance of getting him. Cochrane on the other hand well that's a different story, you can go your hardest if you want him ;)

I too would be surprised if you traded him. Can't see why he would want to come to Geelong and unless he did Port should have no business in trading him.

The Mackie one i could somewhat stomach at a stretch, but the rest are ludicrous.

We should of got him last year, I rate him better than Playfair myself. As for compensation, maybe a 2nd rounder, otherwise from our list, Matthew Spencer, considering Port need young key defenders, but they've got Gilham and Chaplin as well. Maybe a Charlie Gardner could be thrown into the mix.

Unless he would signicantly improve on Henry over the next couple of years while we wait on Ablett/Hawkins to develop, I don't see the point in trading for him, especially when he is contracted and Port can ask a lot for him.

I think we are just assuming the "Collingwood position" and Port will ream Fremantle.
