My brother saw a dude involved with Episode 2 on NBC Today last night and they guy said that Yoda kicks some major ass in the coming film with his lightsabre. Ive also seen in the preview Obi Wan say something to Anakin along the lines of he will never be close to the swordsmanship of Master Yoda.

Ive heard all sorts of rumors that Yoda yeilds a lightsabre and we get to see him in battle? Have you heard anything?

I dont see how he could be effective being so small. I have seen him hover next to Obi Wan in the preview, maybe he floats and fights? I dont know, seems weird to me, i dont see how he could fight?
 
Yoda using a Lightsaber!!!!?!?!?!?! THEY HAVE SCREWED UP THE MOVIE ALREADY. Yoda should not use a lightsaber, he can a be a great warrior without a sabre.

1) The lightsaber would look awful.

2) He is a master of the Force! Fight with the Force!

Maybe he uses a short sabre. Remember it's not the length that counts, but how you use it! ;)

I am pretty sure I have already seen a snippet of Yoda and Obi Wan sparring and it looked pretty cool. *Note: If I have imagined this, please tell me, as I may be going completely nuts!!
 
They showed a massive preview of the new film on the U.S.A version of the 'Today Show".Looks alot better than the first one with a return to the style of the episodes 4,5 and 6.They have also shown sneak previews of the film after the movies on channel 9 in the last 2 weeks.I saw a peak of Samuel Jackson fighting with about 6 or 7 other jedis.I thought the first one wasn't really a great movie though so I will reserve my judgement on this one.

I think this will be a much better movie. IMHO it has a lot more to do with Episodes 4,5 and 6 than 1 ever did. The Clone Wars had a big impact on the Jedis, seemed to me that Episode One was just about introducing Obi and Anakin. Episode 2 looks much more Star Wars.
 
Yeah they were showing previews on CH. 9 after the movies and I have to say, this movie looks better than the first one. Anikan is a little smart arse who reckon he owns the joint and doesn't listen to Obi-wan. Should be good though!

SPOILER ALERT. Don't read if you don't want to know.

I just finished reading the novelization of Attack of the Clones today, and yes, Yoda kicks some serious ass with a lightsaber.

Apparently, it is incredibly realistic and one of the big surprises of the film. I can't wait to see it.

We see Yoda and Darth Tyranus (Sidious' apprentice) have a Jedi Master vs Jedi Master duel, where they both throw massive steel structures at each other. Tyranus, throws force lightning at Yoda, and Yoda catches it and hulrs it back.

In the fight, Tyranus (who also goes by the name of Count Dooku) is far too accomplished for Anakin, and also far too accomplished for Obi-Wan... yet Tyranus himself is no match for Yoda.

Yoda has always been a master of the Force, and doesn't use his lightsabre unless it is necessary. He is forced to use it in this movie, as he has no other choice.

If you want to know who Darth Tyranu/Count Dooku is, he a former Jedi (turned to the dark side) who has taken several hundred planets and forced them to break away from the Republic. The Republic is debating whether to create a clone army to use against the droid army of the break away group, but there is great debate whether to do this, because it will start a war.

As our friend Palpatine is the boss, he finds a way to make it "legal" for this clone army to be created, and bang, we have a war. The clones fight for the Republic against the bad guys from the break away group. Padme, is against creating an army, but the legislation gets passed through the senate, because it is the only way to stop the break away group, and their massive droid armys. Palpatine makes it look like he had no choice (but it is all a big plot for him to start a war)

The cool thing is that the Jedi (who fight for the Republic) are on the wrong side, because the Republic they fight for (and the clones who help them) are to become the dictatorship which is the Empire. They are fighting alongside the Stormtroopers (Clones) against the breakaway group. They can't see the big picture, because Palpatine will turn the Republic into the Empire.

Heh....thanks for the Spoiler Alert...i skipped it and will just wait and see now. Its only 3 weeks or so away now anyway. I do hope Yoda fights with a lightsabre, although they will have to make it cool, not sure how they will achieve that but ill just wait and see.
