Regardless of my opinions on him as a player, one thing about Swan is that he is funny as hell.
He's drier than toast, which is what makes it. Hopefully they give him some free licence, or if he doesn't take the initiative, then they should look to him as often as possible.

Brayshaw is why I don't watch. For some reason, he just comes across as really arrogant, like he's been put out to even turn up in the first place.
This will be great! People get stuck into The Footy Show, but I find it to be an entertaining hour and half of TV each week.

I'm not too good for it, the show is just really boring. They talk more about themselves than they do about the footy and they endlessly repeat their little in jokes.
Come on, you guys are taking The Footy Show way too seriously. Nobody watches it to hear serious and in-depth discussion about the games, it just a fun thing to watch to kill an hour and a half each week.
There are other shows that fulfill the need for serious discussion, and The Footy Show ain't it, and I like it that way.

Regardless, unless you're the obsessively politically correct type, not sure how you couldn't appreciate his cheap unleashed humour.

For the record an assumed persona is as annoying, if not more annoying than the real thing. At least a smarmy cheap shot taking moron can't help being that - to build your 'career' around being a smarmy half-smart persona who is addicted to taking cheap shots at the public is cynical and pathetic at the same time.
As for intelligence or not I won't comment because I've yet to find any evidence of it from him, either he is a cynical moron or hides his intelligence supremely well.
Anyway it appears you for one are happy with his performance so I'm happy for you.
