As a parent you always say that if ever my child is in trouble, you will be their to protect them. While you are recovering from the injury Ando727, you may feel like a lousy partner or parent, but you were their for your child when they needed you. Well done and all the best with the recovery.
Thanks Chimp, that was very comforting to hear. :thumbsu:

Bit early to write his epitaph . He has a break in the fibula which normally would be about 6-8 weeks on it own and the foot hasn't really been described yet but is likely to be his 5th metatarsal judging by looking at the injury. He should be back mid season if that is close to being right and can still contribute to this season. Hopefully will see him go around in 2017 also. Potentially these injuries are ones where you have a pretty full recovery with little chance of ongoing issues.

The swollen foot photo looks like a Lisfranc injury, which has been said on fox footy. It's a ruptred ligament in the midfoot caused by direct trauma which is consistent with the fractured bones in his foot, you can see in the footage how his whole midfoot was twisted under pressure in that incident. Makes me squirm seeing it, had the injury myself last year it's a campaigner. No one should have to end their career like that if that ends up being the case :(

Swanny was still playing great footy last year. If he has a swift and good recovery he could come back. Lets hope it's not the end of him.
