I know my fellow Essendon fans think Jobe Watson is one of the most improved players this season but he couldn't hold a candle to the season Swan is having at the moment.

Must be close to leading the B&F at Collingwood and would be a rough chance for the Brownlow.

Did anyone see this coming last year ?
I always thought he was a middle of the road player but he's gone up about three levels in six months.

Because it was mothers day last sunday I went and watched Essendon vs. Carlton, and I was impressed with Watson. He's a clever kid.

You're right, Swan's form is good. And to think he was close to getting the official arse.

Might not be a silly statement!

It isn't really.

Kicks goals.
Gets a heap of the ball.
Plays midfield.
Is on a winning team.

Ticks all the boxes and if Cox takes enough votes off Judd or vice versa then he's a genuine chance.

I saw it coming!

I can officially say I've loved the kid since the start of last year and expecting nothing less but the best from my boy Swanny.

Swanny for president. Get him in the navy blue anyday.

The signs were there last year he was a big improver - racked up plenty of touches. He is an interesting one. We recruited him as a forward pocket - so he knows where the goals are....We played him off half back to teach him accountability...Now he has gotten super fit to play midfield and run all day. Having a ripping season and would be close to AA selection so far

He knows he's lucky to still be on the list. Took it a little easy in his first couple of years and has had a well publicised off-field indiscretion.

Put in a massive pre-season with Ben Johnson and the rewards are there for all to see.

Fantastic to see that he has woken up to himself and is making the most of his opportunity. Many before him in the AFL have let their chances slip!

Liked Micks comments on him after the game tonight.

Definatley one of the most improved players in the comp. Burned the ball a lot last year but his disposal has improved a lot. Definately turned into a fine player...probably end up a Scott Burns replacement.

Seems he can play a bit. Davis was good tonight too.

Nick Davis was also very good tonight.

On Swan, other clubs will now have to start giving him a bit more respect like a few other Collingwood players.

Look a good side and I doubt the Collywobbles will set in come June.

For mine they are a genuine flag chance. Still 14 games to go though and anything can happen to bring a good side undone.
