I see this week's game against Melbourne as a real danger game.

They're getting absolutely pummelled in Melbourne for their performance today and, if they have any character, will come over here and really put in having absolutley nothing to lose.

With our injuries, the boys are doing really well but we keep meeting teams who are getting such bad press they have to respond.

I still think we'll win but who's broken the mirror, walked under a ladder, put the umbrella up inside the house, run over a black cat etc, etc, etc.

Cheers,

a.j.

The way we are playing at the moment, any opposition is a danger game! Just hope we get some player this week & don't have more injured during the game. We need to get some stability back into the side.

With two days extra rest, playing at home, coming off an agonizing loss, we should comfortably account for the rabble that got rolled by Collingwood today.

It comes down to our approach. If we're hard at the ball and body, if we run hard, tackle and chase with intensity and vigour, if we put in 110% effort, all the things we didn't do on Saturday, we will win. If we don't, we'll most likely lose.

I've got a theory: our injuries are being caused by the fact we keep on meeting teams under the pump. Now before you laugh, obviously not every single one is related to this (Carey, Marsh, Stinger, Clarke) but playing sides that are more desperate means they are harder at the footy and the body than normal, and injuries such as the Goody one, Bodey, Burns and some of our corky's to Stiffy and Roo are a result of playing teams that rise to the occasion and give absolutely 110% for a particular game.

Now don't take this as an excuse or whatever, simply an observation of mine that I've pondered for some time.

So, am I crazy? ;)

Yep, its a very important game this one. I'm very nervous about this one. We havn't really played well these last couple of weeks. We now have a troubling injury list and losing Goodwin will only make it harder this week.

I agree, we need Clarke, Stenglein and Burns back. At least two of these guys really need to come back. Our luck with injuries has to change if we are to even think about still making the Top 4.

I think it will be a very very close match.

Chin up. Things have got to get better for use sooner or later.

yeh i see what u mean, I have always thought the same thing. We always seem to play teams when they are under the pump and we have a terrible history of losing games we must win.

Also i have noted that we seem to do very well against the good to medium level sides but struggle against the very top sides and the bottom sides somewhat. Anyone else noticed this?

All games are danger games & nearly every side in the comp could beat anyone else on a given day,

as for us i'm at the stage now where i'm reluctant to even pick a bloody paper up during the week in case someone else has gone down with an injury,

Don't worry about danger games so much but start worrying about danger training sessions, :(
