Nah - it's not a good look to be trading young players unless they want to leave, and from day 1 Toumpas has been extremely enthusiastic about the club. Hasn't had a proper run at things yet either. Midfielders who can kick goals from 60m out like he did in his junior days don't grow on trees. If Adelaide want something for Dangerfield rather than lose him for just AFL compo (around pick #10 assuming a similar finish in 2014) it has to be reasonable, especially when the midfielders in this year's draft look like quality readymade prospects. We need good young players too, or there's going to be a substantial gap in a few years in the 20-23 age bracket on our list.

If the Sainters dont want Petracca, GWS have more trade currency than Melbourne do.

Again I think it would be overs unless Adelaide added something else on like Jarryd Lyons. Apparently Roosy and co. are quite hot on Angus Brayshaw from the draft so I doubt we'll be trading both picks. For starters it would be unprecedented, and like I said Dangerfield isn't Judd - he's not as good nor as consistent nor as pure a midfielder as Judd was. I guess I'm pretty conservative as far as trades go but then again I'm willing to trust Roos' judgment. I just can't see us going for a deal like this. I'd probably be more willing to do it if the top mids were like last year skinny kids like Kelly and Aish, but Petracca and Brayshaw are huge, they should be right to go.
