Are you coming from a GWS perspective ? If so, what's it matter what he's paid ? GWS concern is what they can get for him. Your post comes across as though your on a percentage of his earn.

For some reason this made me think of Bachar Houli and how Essendon stubbornly didn't trade him because Hird was convinced they could convince him to stay even though blind Freddy could see Houli desperately wanted out. Obviously there is no reason why Danger would want to leave, I'm just saying the comment 'confident he will stay' reminded me of that situation. Having said all that from what I hear Danger is well entrenched into Adelaide atm, but everybody has a price and suddenly he may start feeling home sick. That's free agency is these days you either trade players before they come out of contract or you need to extend existing contracts quickly because the longer it goes on the less likely they stay.
