Imagine how the recuiters at Carlton, West Coast, Melbourne, Western Bulldogs, Essendon, Fremantle, Brisbane and St kilda are feeling now knowing that they passed on Dangerfield in the draft. Its kinda like us drafting Ken McGregor over Pavlich......
But I also think that Brad Ebert is a really fine player and stepped up this year when the team around him was so devoid of talent, direction, ability, game plan, no supporters at their games, no money, basket case, he was the only shining light.
They say when he started training with Port his professionlism was levels above the rest of the team and proberbly goes to show the difference between Port and West Coast.

The question is will ebert be captain coach next year?

Shows the value of not going with the safe, consensus pick. Dozens of examples of clubs going such an option and it backfiring.
Really? 2007 is full of busts and Ebert isn't one of them. Dangerfield at a different club?

Apart from Notte Westcoasts drafting looks pretty good from 2007. S.Selwood, Masten and Ebert, imagine if we ranked Dangerfield ahead of Ebert and Adelaide made the "popular" decision.

I don't think Dangerfield ever game into consideration for our first pick, but im sure Myers, Morton, Palmer all did.
