Dangerfield

I think Blease plays a bit more differently. Blease will only ever play an outside role at AFL IMO. Maybe with more bulk he'll maybe one day play inside but I wouldn't think so. Dangerfield has more ability to play as an inside mid and win the contested ball. Blease plays more like Brent Harvey, outside receiver who runs the lines, a very attacking minded player.

Dangerfield is very strong around the hips, thats what I like about him. Keeps his feet well. All of the GUN mids in the comp usually are very good at keeping their feet and strong around the hips- Goodes, Kerr, Judd, Bartel, Ablett, Junior Burger etc. If he can touch up on his disposal he'll be an absolute gun for us- it's just a tad inconsistent, nothing wrong with his penetration, it's just missing targets at times. Giving him number 32 shows how much the club rates him really.

I was just wondering if anyone else heard that scouts believe if Dangerfield was in the draft this year he would have gone top 5, after a fantastic year down at the falcons. is this true?
its just like the crows having to first round pick this year. i think dangerfield would go 3rd behind watt and nat

He certainly did.

Triggy was asked whether that was a request from Roo for Dangerfield to wear the #32. Triggy didn't quite answer that question. Rather he said that Roo was pleased with the selection of Dangerfield to wear his old guernsey number.

While I'm not suggesting that Dangerfield will be another Mark Ricciuto in his game style, I'm very confident that in his own way he will do the jumper proud. :thumbsu:

Great choice. :thumbsu:
I don't know. I still think its putting a lot of pressure on the kid to live up to that number. I think 32 will be forever a "sacred" number at the AFC and giving it to a kid that already has so much pressure on him....I just think its unneccessary.

Good luck to the kid and I hope he lives up to what that number stands for at AFC.

He looks like the kind of kid who eats pressure for breakfast.
