Dangerfield's Demeanour

Dangerfield had at least 3 opportunities to hit a target inside 50 against Carlton and failed. They would have led to relatively easy shots at goal. Not to mention twice he ran through the center only to have his long shot smothered.

It's the one flaw in his game which is strange that he isn't a consistently good foot pass because he's made some sublime passes this year... the pass to Hawkins an example.

Yes he is a FIGJAM but hes here to play footy. who cares

See that first part is what I don't understand. On what basis do people think this, exactly? Admittedly I didn't pay attention to his appearances in the media when he was at Adelaide, but I've never heard anything come out of his mouth that wasn't completely humble and down to earth.

I did. It's a serious issue. I was hoping for an innovative gif!

you have to take the good with the bad. if he had selwoods composure and pendleburys awareness and fyfes kicking and grays set shot prowess hed be the best player in the league by a country mile but unfortunately he doesnt.

still a good player though no doubt

Have you not seen Geelongs kicking at goal this year ?
Nothing is relatively easy

Perhaps the signed Jordan wingspan replica photo he gave Mardi for a present gives it away.

But really who cares. The best do believe in themselves and their ability. The Jordan acceptance speech into the HOF highlights this.

I'll rephrase that then shall I? What should have been relatively easy shots on goal.

If my memory serves me correct at one point he had Kersten all alone and nobody with 30 metres and his kick dribbled over the line and out of bounds... or was that somebody else?

Call me paranoid but something tells me that wasn't his version of a serious 'you are the love of my life and i will do anything you ask of me' sort of gift.

I've even heard/read the guy cop shit for daring to pose in a replica Jordan photo, as though doing so is a sure sign that he somehow thinks that he is as good at his sport as Jordan was at his.

They may do that this week. GWS aren't unbeatable by any means. Even if you just replaced Murdoch with Ruggles (that's who he was brought in for) it makes our defence look a little bit better.
I still dont understand the reasoning behind bringing Murdoch back in the first place. Bews might be good for a clanger or two but he is also a decent lockdown defender. Could have played him on Mr Armfield.

There is no way a figjam would have bought that pic.
He was taking the piss.
I love it.

You think we can beat GWS even when playing badly? No chance.
GWS have this mental thing about them similar to the Eagles where they can't win against decent opposition interstate because they're out of their comfort zone and just freeze under the pressure.

start of the season everyone was thinking this guy was single handedly gonna get us back into the finals, get back into the grand final and win a premiership, easy as bro

he took adelaide to 7th last season, where would they have finished last year without him? 7th 8th? 9th?

his a great player but his not gonna rocket us up the ladder

this aint cleveland cavaliers

I would've preferred not having him and getting someone younger the next year such as Prestia, O'Meara or Neale.

Haha! I detest LeBron but yes, that's a good comparison.

Sorry mate but we finished 10th last year and we're now third.

After reading posts the last day one could have assumed that we were sitting stone motherless.

I'd like to see proof of that.

I think many thought that Geelong had filled a lot of holes in one fell swoop with their trades.
And that as a collective was going to help rocket us up.

From what I saw rounds 1-9. We are easily good enough to be top 4.
Whether we maintain any consistency is a whole different ball game.

I think Murda was the traveling emergency at the ground. Not sure who else was there. And Ruggles went out after the warmups so it was as late as you can get. (if you are referring to last week anyway)

GO Catters

Oh i didnt realise it was that late, thanks Daz.

The O'Meara who hasn't played a game for two years?

It still staggers me the people who wish we hadn't gone and got one of the best midfielders in the game, in his prime, on far less coin that he could have got elsewhere, for almost nothing.
