Then why do they keep playing him if he's injured? This has been going on for at least 3 years now.Very facile. As if you really believe that.
Agree, way to big atmI still maintain his playing weight, which is currently 97kg, is too high.
Not even monster sized mids (6ft'4) like Cripps, Fyfe or Bontempelli are near that playing weight.
If Dangerfield brought his playing weight back down to what it was during his best years, the chances of sustaining niggling soft tissue issues would fade away.

We actually need him in the midfield, because we have no mids. Why we didn't go hard on cerra astounds me, we had Clark, Duncan, Narkle and blicavs to give up for himThey may be when they're 30+
Senior was over 100 kg at shorter height 185 cm.
Danger is 189 cm. Issue may be that he should no longer be a mid primarily.
TPP and you we didn’t have the trade currency Carlton did.We actually need him in the midfield, because we have no mids. Why we didn't go hard on cerra astounds me, we had Clark, Duncan, Narkle and blicavs to give up for him
They wanted Clark, throw in Narkle and Duncan or blicavs, carlton only had their first rounderTPP and you we didn’t have the trade currency Carlton did.
TPP. Trading Duncan is computer game nonsense. They wanted Clark, throw in Narkle and Duncan or blicavs, carlton only had their first rounder

Why did the club bother getting Cameron then, to finish 5-12???Narkle adds nothing to the trade and neither Duncan or Blicavs would agree to a trade (nor would or should the club put them up), plus, we couldn't afford the 800k or thereabouts he wanted.
Then don’t play him ffs. All the talk of resting players so they are good come finals is worthless if a guy has genuine niggles and they still play him anyway. Seriously this is clown school stuff.
Broken ribs at some point too. Never missed a game. But there’s always something, and yes you are right, it only ever gets brought up after a loss or he has a bad game.Gotta say this 'Danger has a niggle' stuff is getting a bit old too. This is professional footy, everyone's got a niggle.
I'm sure there's some legitimacy to it, but this is three straight years of this now. 2020 was the groin, 2021 was the groin again and then the ankle, and then the hand...and now he's got a calf issue.
Seems to only be talked about after a poor performance too, when he's up and going the injury is non-existent.
As you said if he's not right don't play him. Simple as that. It's the AFL, once you cross that white line you declare yourself fit.

Unfortunately it's become very very predictable. Immediately after a poor individual game / bad loss, we will then get told he's carrying something. It's one thing for fans to not want to accept reality, but it's more concerning if the club don't.
I think the answer is simple; he's not the same player anymore. In reality he hasn't been for a while. He's just turned 32, and time catches everyone. He has become a burst player with the occasional big game, and he's not alone in this, but defensively he is now a complete train wreck.
Play him at half back

Defensively has always been a train wreck. If he isn't in the top 5 players on the ground then he is a liability with the amount he gets burnt by his direct opponent. Cats have a similar rule I think. They build up to a specific age then bring it down. I don't know that danger has been following thisthe hawthorn mids during the premiership days got told a rule that always intrigued me.. apparently they lost a KG of playing weight for every year over i think 28 it was??? seemed to help them go ok....
Adding players they don't want doesn't add valueThey wanted Clark, throw in Narkle and Duncan or blicavs, carlton only had their first rounder
They're desperately hoping that by playing him forward he can snag a couple of goals and justify his selection.
