Pretty sure the extra $6 mil would buy a bigger house than the one in Moggs Creek and pay for multiple nannies.

Costa might be able to help him here and there with a bunch of shit, but Costa ain't gonna fork out a lazy $6 mil surely.
Costa, the Pratt family and these sorts couldn't fart near a player now days without the AFL knowing about it. Some of the Geelong supporters are delusional about what he can do.

I can see Danger missing out on Geelong, I dunno seems these trades always get done at some point, if not the last minute. It will hold everything else up though, hopefully the Dixon deal gets done for us but nothing is guaranteed. Letting him go into the PSD atleast lets you make a stand. Just hope Geelong don't try to be like Essendon at the trade table.

AFL only do something about it when they have to (ie. When a scandal becomes public). There'd be lots of brown paper bags/cars/internships going on behind the scenes.

They've traded for Frawley, Lake, Hale, Gibson, Burgoyne, McEvoy, you're very own Gunston, etc, etc, etc, etc...

So no, their team is not solely built through the draft, not even close to that being true.
What about 2008? They have defos changed to keep momentum for these last few though!

In 25 years 14 finals 7 GF and 3 flags. we get it done. The premiership window/clock is rubbish just because we've been up doesn't mean we can't get there again quickly. When you're drafting blokes like Enright and Gregson at pick 47 you can see we do things a bit differently.
History counts for nothing moving forward

Yes and they also picked up Roughie, Buddy and Lewis out of the one draft, to they have a balance (lost buddy though). I did not state their whole list came from the draft, I said they draft smart. Trading has been second to none, no denying that.

How many of those come in if the hawks didn't win in 08 and have been a top team since 10?

Lol what? It counts for everything. Our history shows we are a stable club that is amongst it most of the time. We aren't in a 'premiership window' as people call it, but I'm not buying this BS that we are on the verge of being a rabble and finishing bottom 4 etc, that's just hilarious thinking.

We will be very competitive in 2016 and onwards.

People, stop crapping on about history as a determinate of future success. Football doesn't care what you did yesterday, there are so many examples of that it's not funny. If recently successful AFL clubs are thinking they're all cool because of yesterday then they'll end up the next Kodak of the AFL.
