How can anyone begrudge a person for making a decision in the interest of their own happiness? The club would have no problem cutting him if he wasn't performing.
we've got a whole bag of happiness for Blicavs, you want him to be happy don't you?

if he wants to move for family, he wants geelong. There is no certainty he gets Geelong.
would he have been better taking the 2 years and being able to make decisions with absolute certainty?
I don't even think the Cats will bother with a FA offer & will attempt to trade, as they know the Crows will match & only delay things.Judging by Chris Scott's comments, Fagans comments and dangerfields concern I don't think it's going to end very well for either party. I have a feeling things are going to get very messy.
Firstly geelong will up there offer in the hope adelaide blink.
Adelaide will match.
AFLPA will then either lobby the afl for another pick.
With the compensation from geelong offered to Adelaide grossly under what they want, a third party like Melbourne will come in and offer pick 3 and next years first rounder.
Geelong stand firm, Adelaide stand firm.
The hole free agency thing will become a debacle and the big looser will be danger.

I'm angry with his decision. But that speech made it clear this was a very hard choice. And he's right, family does, and should, always come first - something that the death of Phil Walsh highlighted so brutally in July. Those who are angry with his decision will not agree.
Geelong could have offered him more than we could match. Instead they want to have their cake and eat it too.
And?Not pregnant. She was drinking wine the other week wasn't she?
Completely uncalled for.So people saying she's pregnant? Are people suggesting that she may have deliberately let one through to sway the decision?
And?![]()
Yep - this is the bit that makes it hard for Geelong to not deal.if he wants to move for family, he wants geelong. There is no certainty he gets Geelong.

Yes, probably.if he wants to move for family, he wants geelong. There is no certainty he gets Geelong.

Meaning? My OB asked me how much I drank, I said occasional, maybe two glasses once a week. He told me to keep doing what I was doing. That was 14 years ago. I was a high risk pregnancy ( being so old ). My pregnancy was perfect, birth a breeze, kid is a straight A student, good at sports and music. Didn't hurt him.and its not the 1970's

Doctors still don't recommend it. 70's or not.and its not the 1970's

They have promised Dangerfield certainty, so if they try and stuff us about - even early in trade week - then the story becomes pretty crap for both Danger and Geelong. They need to get the job done early and fast ... I still think a player will miraculously come and out and say he wants to go to SA - making the deal easier. Cory Gregson is one that comes to mind, and if Geelong offer him and pick 9 I reckon we take it.
We might lose a free compo pick if Geelong trade stupidly - but we will have $$$ to spend and will be able to bring in one or two quality players just with those $$$, whereas Geelong really only have one target.
I know the idea is that AFC have everything to lose, but in reality - that just is not the case.
Maybe this is his way of ensuring Adelaide get some return for him? His preference appears to be Geelong but I can't imagine he and his manager haven't considered the various ways this could play out. Could be he genuinely wants to leave on good terms and leaving as a tradeable commodity does this. Might not be all that upset at the prospect of another team provided it's in Vic.if he wants to move for family, he wants geelong. There is no certainty he gets Geelong.

Who knows.Doctors still don't recommend it. 70's or not.
Personallly i think she can do what she wants, i guess being in the public arena makes it a bad look, especially if any potential child cpmes outt looking like Lotney
huh?
and its not the 1970's
and?
you are advocating drinking whilst pregnant?
I'm just saying what my doc told me, and what my experience was. He said it was better to have a relaxed mum than an anxious mum. And truly, it is her choice and nobody else's business unless she's throwing down a truckload every day.and?

Up to three glasses a week is considered absolutely fine.
Can you not. It's clear Jenny was indicating that it is perfectly safe to have a drink while pregnant. And it is.
