Should that be a factor? We shouldn't have to adjust our minimum requirements just because Geelong dont have the players and/or picks to satisfy a trade. If they cant somehow find the players/picks then he tries his luck in the PS draft.

I agree it is fair value but Cats are quite rightfully going to look after their club just like Fagan and Nobes will do for us.
It is how far each is willing to give to get a deal done that will be very interesting
Although if you listen to trade radio Purple and Hutchy implying they have knowledge of a deal where we dont match and then swap pick 14 for 9 and some late picks over next 2 years...leaving us essentially with pick 9 and 13 this year. That deal would be bonkers tho so not sure I believe it

Any deal where Geelong still keep their first rounder is ridiculous. We should be getting both their first picks at the very least without swapping any first rounders. And the swapping of future picks is a complete unknown, because what if they finish above us? We'd be losing out.
That player alternative better be a very good player, otherwise, I'd rather their 2016 first rounder with no swapping of any other picks.

I hope you guys match. Geelong are abusing the system, offering lowball offers to restricted free agents Dangerfield and Scott Selwood, and then expecting them to just walk and give their old clubs nothing in return.

Match the offer and force Geelong to pay up. If they don't, he won't last to pick 9 in either draft, especially with Collingwood involved in the PSD.

I hope you get 2 first rounders + a player for him.
