That's a fair deal .....i'd take option 1Acceptable trades are:
- 9 + Motlop or Cockatoo
- 9 + 2016 1st
- 9 + 2nd + a quality young player.
Good trades add a 2nd rounder or at least a swap of this years 2nds to the equation but I'm realistic enough to know we won't get anywhere near a good trade. However, anything less than the above is unacceptable.
Oh, and I've not seen one 'compo combo' that doesn't result in Geelong winning massively and the Crows still losing by a long way.
Agree, Adelaide will want more than Geelong will be willing to give up, middle ground will have to be met.Something tells me these negotiations will drag on for a while and will have a lot of twists and turns along the way!

Well you are going to be disappointed. Geelong don't have two top 10 draft picks.
Henderson's manager is Tom Petroroa little bit off topic but do you think him being allowed to stay his first year back home contributed to him wanting to go 7 years later? also is Lachie Henderson's manager the same as Dangerfield's?
If Murdoch says no ....then nothing Geelong or Adelaide can doHe signed a 3 year deal mid year, bought a house in Geelong and got engaged to his girlfriend in Feb, would be unlikely to want to move but he's one of few that majority of Geelong Supporters don't rate overly highly, doesn't rack up possessions and his ball use leaves alot to be desired.
Nothing out of the club has said Murddoch will be involved in a trade for Dangerfield, that's just a rumour started on BigFooty which extends to pretty much every SA player on our list...
Can't see Geelong letting Gregson go after investing 20 games into him, especially when he fills a need in the forward line.
Says alot about Adelaide Fans being unrealistic, that's about it.. Not going to trade away arguably our most promising young player in the middle of a rebuild.
Really think that's the media, and Connors .......i'd suggest Geelong are more realisticThe goodwill for the AFC didn't last long across the border did it. As soon as we don't bend over for a Victorian (finally) we're the bad guys.
Think you'll find most neutral Victorian supporters endorse our right to match the offer and get a good trade with Geelong. It's the clueless bigfooty posters like Mahlepi and Hutchy that give a distorted impression of Victorian sentiments. The goodwill for the AFC didn't last long across the border did it. As soon as we don't bend over for a Victorian (finally) we're the bad guys.
Well they will need to find them then won't they?
Jenny: We want 2 first round draft picks
Geelong: We don't have them.
Jenny: Okay then, one will be fine.

Patrick Dangerfield free agency move to Geelong not so simple as Cats and Crows remain far apart

MICHELANGELO RUCCI adelaidenow
ADELAIDE’S hopes of scoring two first-round draft picks for free-agent midfielder Patrick Dangerfield are fading.
The Dangerfield trade will be subject to many prospective plays. It is possible Adelaide and Geelong — with AFL approval — could add other draft picks and players to a subsidiary deal.
This could lead to Adelaide and Geelong swapping first-round draft picks and players such as South Australian midfielder Jordan Murdoch from Geelong to Adelaide for Victorian midfielder Matt Crouch who is out of contract at West Lakes.
Isn't two first rounders the middle ground?Agree, Adelaide will want more than Geelong will be willing to give up, middle ground will have to be met.
Excellent point. Geelong have been fair and reasonable at the trade table over the years. This one shouldn't be too differentReally think that's the media, and Connors .......i'd suggest Geelong are more realistic
Trust the process
Fair call. These types of trades typically involve the swapping if picks only. This should be no different. Very clever by the cats to get them all signed up quickly pending Dangers announcement. In your opinion, what is the general feeling of what the Cats will need to give up to complete the deal ?Can I just say this. Motlop, cockatoo, Gregson, these guys are untouchable, all under contract and are happy where they are. Now Adelaide are well within their rights to try and get the best possible deal for themselves, unfortunately for you guys whatever it is will be not great value considering you'll be losing Dangerfield.
Correct ......but does anyone honestly think Rucci has ANY KNOWLEDGE of the trade discussions ......zilch, none, zero . zeroExcellent point. Geelong have been fair and reasonable at the trade table over the years. This one shouldn't be too different
What quacks.......sorry just saw it was Rucci ......

Exactly, unless we are trading in a proven A grade Midfielder this trade period Matt Crouch is a must keep and far more valuable to us than Murdoch would ever be. Rucci is talking out of his clacker. What quacks.......sorry just saw it was Rucci ......
