I don't know why people keep saying he's on the outer. He really dropped off in his last couple of AFL games and deservedly got ommited. Then he wasnt outstanding in the SANFL except for one or two games. He needs another big preseason.
He's a candidate to improve massively after pre season. Was great for ten games, has shown he has what it takes and there is now a spot for him with Danger gone. Hoping for him to really step up next year.

I hope he doesn't leave, upside is huge, which is why he's being courted.

He had been good. Got dropped to the sub vest and came on and was critical against BNE. Then had one bad half and banished to the 2's. Compare that to the treatment of Wright, Dmac and VB playing shit game after shit game. And people wonder why the younger guys who have experienced this treatment remain unsigned. Like Danger, Crouch may have made up his mind well before he played out this year.

In reality, trading Vince and signing Mackay is all part of the Tippett fallout.

EDIT: Soon after our draft sanctions Dangerfield started talking about the possibility of success being the major factor in any decision he would make regarding his playing future. Tippettgate removed any chance of Adelaide keeping Dangerfield too.

Mackay 4 years is still worse.

So is the whole Tippett thing.

For sure - and probably you are right

but symbolically, this would take the cake. Traded out a club favourite, who did not want to leave, to get back into the 1st Round and right from the start Adelaide publically said they wanted Crouch (Party at Sando's?) - they got their man, and two years later there is talk of him being offloaded already? You can't script that shit

No it didn't. It was a convenient excuse at the time. Didn't you notice that when we started doing better than Geelong success in footy suddenly went out the window and his family became more important.

Why isn't Connors using the compensation Geelong got for losing Gary Ablett? It would be a much more appropriate comparison than Buddy Franklin.

Also after giving Dangerfield the opportunity to complete his schooling first and then play 7 years of AFL football, you would think he and his manager would be more respectful. Pretty conclusive proof our no dickheads policy is failing.

This. IF a "dodgy" trade happens, it's in full view and with the consent of the AFL.
All this worries me.

Why are we trying so hard to dream up rubbish using the compo pick? Geelong will be the ONLY winners out of that.

No other fair trade (enough to pass the AFL tests) will come close to bridging the gap in value in the Danger for 14 crap. And it's not even Geelong's 14!

Please AFC, forget the compo! 2 1sts is unders for Danger…it's the minimum bottom line. I'd like to add Gore to that equation to make it a little closer to fair.

If he went to the draft he would be lucky to make it to pick 3, a club would grab him he would play there if he wanted to leave grab a couple of first picks for him if they could convince him to stay the likelihood of finding someone like him in the draft is about 2%
Draft is in Adelaide this year? Imagine the roar when traitorfield gets picked up before the lowballers can pick

Who says that Crows are dreaming up this compo pick rubbish? Only BF posters and speculative journalists are. The AFC hasn't let out anything.

He would view Geelong as having no long term impediments to success whereas Adelaide has created a culture of defections and controversies.
