While a gutsy act, it was stupid to throw himself into the goal post and risk further injury.

I admire the way he goes about his footy but someone really needs to have a chat to him or he will be injured every week.

I think it was an accident mate; was so fixated on the ball that his awareness was lacking.

It even hurts to imagine him as a 2-year old, or playing under-10's football. :p

He'll recover.

Didn't look restricted at all Friday night, so highly unlikely to miss this week I would of thought. No need to worry!

Dangers head will be so hard soon that he will be knocking everyone else out and his whole body will be unbreakable!!!

The thing is, if it's a person or a moving object, I can understand, but the goalpost is metres high. There is no way it didn't come into his peripheral vision, and yet from the replay it looked very much he honestly never saw it. He knew he was running towards the posts because he was specifically trying to keep the ball in play instead of letting it cross the white line, and yet he still had no idea the post was there.

I admire single-mindedness and hunger for the ball but that's just foolish. You don't need to stare at the post while going for the ball, but surely you'd make a cursory glance at the post before you left the ground, if for no other reason than to judge how much time you had left to palm the ball.

It's the equivalent of attempting to tap a ball back into play when it's heading out of bounds during a court sport and running face first into the wall instead. You had to know it was there - because it was specifically what you were trying to avoid the ball from reaching!

Isn't it obvious? He thought he could run though the post thus he decided not to pay any attention to it thinking he would just clean it up but it turns out it was a bit harder then he thought:D.

On a more serious note it is become a worry, I almost don't like to watch him since he always ends up doing something which looks very painful which makes him look injury prone. Reminds me of Burton who at one stage I did not like to watch because every time he flew he would land so hard and just looked like he was ready to be injured and I am starting to feel the same way about Danger (apart from him not flying, more colliding).

That's the reason why I was suprised that it was semi-serious because he played on during the night on Friday.
Sucks if he misses

Ever since we were told Martin would miss 12 months only a day or two after he finished a match I've learnt not to trust what players are able to do while still warm :o

I'm starting to think I was the only one who, when he crunched the post, laughed a little and said "how awesome is Dangerfield". Seriously, that was one of the most awesome things I've ever seen, and even thinking about it now, it makes me giggle a little.

Am I sick? :o

Do you think you guys can go in with players who are 50/50? Bock, Stevens and Danger under a cloud of doubt, of course if they all played you'll have a better team on paper, but we've seen in the past and more so these days that players who aren't 85-90%+ fit normally don't have a big impact

Not sure that we're in a position to have much of a choice really. :o
