He's got that swagger and I LOVE IT! :D

Loved some of his work today. Great pace, great defensive pressure, great ability to stand up in a tackle......just didn't look out of place! Next yeat can't come around quick enough.

Sums it up nicely for me as well Stiffy, as that's how I saw it. :thumbsu:

Next year when he's training full time with us and playing every week, he'll rise to gun status very quickly.

Agree with Stiffy as well :thumbsu:

Another thing, you can also tell he is quite confident. He was pointing out directions, as in 'I've got this bloke you go back and take the other'. Was excellent to see from a first gamer.

Yeah.. I noticed that too. He's a very confident young Buck. Isn't he? :D:thumbsu:

57% TOG.

6 kicks, 3 handballs, 4 marks, 1 tackle, 1 clearance, 3 contested possessions, 6 uncontested, 2 inside 50's, 1 goal assist and 1 goal 1 point.

Pretty good debut for someone coming straight from under 18's with out training with the squad at all. I didn't get to see all the game (someone upload highlights!) but I saw when he first came on with his chase, damn he's fast. His first possession where he had 3 guys hanging off him and managed to get a handball to advantage was classy. You can tell he's going to be a great player.

considering the limited training he has had with the team
I was pleased with Danger's debut :thumbsu:

he certainly looks like he belongs at this level

Cannot remember what Qtr it was but his half volley pick up of his toes and quick give whilst on a flat out lead impressed me, had a touch of porps about him :thumbsu::thumbsu:
That was silky!

I also liked the play where Ivan tapped it down, Danger ran through, picked the ball as it bounced off the ground and tried to break away from the pack, got tackled, STAYED UP IN THE TACKLE, and dished off a handball.

Now think, this is his first game, his timing is a bit off as he is still getting used to the pace off the game, now imagine that play, when Danger has 50 games under his belt......TRULY special.

He is born to play the game!

That was awesome...190cm guy at full pace...only Porps looks like that and he is much shorter.

Add to that his skills were good (though didn't see him kick at full pace), and he is extremely strong in the pack for his age.

So exciting...he will be a genuine game-breaker. A tall, strong midfielder who can win the inside ball, and then also go orward and kick goals after great leads...sound like Mark Ricciuto?

Except this guy is a bit taller, much faster and can also play the receiver role and break the lines:eek:

He certainly did look good. Cann't believe how an 18 year old with a body already built like a Sherman tank. It was noticeable after he kicked his goal and others came up to him to congratulate him at half time, the size compared to someone like Reilly or Douglas.

Just imagine next year with another full pre season under his belt.

The kid looks bloody good, that first possession shows his core strength ala Judd, Kerr. He had Hill trying to drag him down and he still got to his feet and laid off the handball, nice work.

Already a crowd fave, everytime he touched the ball the our supporters cheered a little bit louder, it was great.:thumbsu:

Just imagine when he plays his first game at AMMI!

The crowd will go wild!

Does everyone think he will play next week?

I reckon he is slightly better than 50:50 chance based on normal selection parameters given the game is in Melbourne (not including any school commitments issues. Having said that, he has played footy every week anyway, though Crows would require a few more commitments the day before and day of the game).

One would think Knights would come back in.

Porps less than 50%, and Vince highly unlikely this week.

Knights is a pure midfielder whereas Danger is a forward/mid in this structure. Therefore Danger may stay in until Porps/Vince return for the WB in Adelaide.

So which midfielder goes. Unfortunately for Campbell who has performed well with limited time (limited possessions but good effectiveness and great defensive work), it may be him despite the fact we replace a defensive midfielder (in terms of his role) with a more attacking type. Campbell is only spending 60% TOG on average, and i think Knights, Symes or Reilly could adapt their game for a while to play a defensive role if required for part of the match.

So yes, Danger should stay:thumbsu: but will have to wait until 09 for the home crowd cheer i would think, unless he kicks 3+ this week. Even then, the extra-football considerations would probably see him demoted.

Before Petrenko was elevated from the rookie list, Neil Craig said that they would only elevate him if they intended to play him this year. So, given they said they played Dangerfield to have a look at him before the finals, maybe Petrenko will get a game in the next two weeks.

I just can't see who will make way, given the other blokes returning from injury, unless of course it's a Petrenko for Danger swap this week but i wouldn't like that change of structure.

Maybe Johncock, but i reckon he must stay in now and build form up forward.

Maybe Douglas could go back for one to the Bays, get a full game in the middle, freshen the mind ready for R22?

Wouldn't like to upset the defence atm, they have found their perfect mix imo with Rutten, Bassett, Massie, McLeod, Bock, Doughty and the occassional cameo.

I have never in my life seen anyone so confident lining up for their first shot on goal... unbelievable

did a pretty loud cheer go up when he came on for the first time? or was that just inside my branes.

Ahh I don't think so...I was sitting near the bench and there didn't seem to be too much commotion in the crowd. However, by the final quarter he was recognised when coming on and off :)
