I said he was the biggest steal in the draft when he was drafted and it will prove to be so.

He will have his quiet games, he has the ability to win a match with only a few touches.

Once he, Morton and Collard are fully fit, our forward line will be classy, and dangerous.

Seems to have a little bit of Stevie J in him, hopefullly he can be half as good
Yep, said that today while watching the replay, a couple of look away handballs, some good goals, throwing himself into contests, tough as nails.

ON YA CONNORS!:D

What I noticed was Connors has the uncanny ability to lose his man. The ball comes inboard and he's free!

How the **** did he manage to do that time and time again? :D

That's a skill you can't teach.

And he's a nutter....gotta love that in your side. :thumbsu:

Him being a nutter is a big plus :thumbsu: we need assorted nuts out there!

Big game player. Today's effort, plus his 25 touches in his second game against Geelong, at Kardina, in their premiership year, including speccy of the day and possibly handball of the year.

Can play anywhere from half back to forward pocket, all the skills, all the tricks plus savings in the bank, and he loves a snot.

DC, licenced to Ill.

well he has had to fight for his right to play;)

That look - away handball to Morton I think was awesome to watch :thumbsu:

and you know what the best bit was?

the fact that it came so naturally and quick and it looked like he did it instinctively without even thinking about it!

Anyone else notice that after two of his goals he was straight off the ground and on headphones.

I suspect that's part of his attitude/workrate improvement program. Something like "see what you can do if you work your arse off"

Exactly.
And I reckon after yesterdays game he will have that attitude towards his workrate drilled into him. He might have had problems with his work ethic and workrate in the past but I reckon this game might have been the one where he turned a corner in regards to it.

Can't play anywhere near 4 quarters yet ID. No doubting he has the talent in bucketloads, but the coaching staff have quite rightly given games to the blokes who are working harder on the track ahead of him.

I think that mentality has done a lot for us in the way of improving players with a tendency to just lope along minus the requisite passion. When a bloke like Morton can go from being what he was at the Eagles to a hungry player running down a great midfielder like Sewell in the last couple of minutes when we're 4 goals up, you can sense that the discipline coming from the coaching staff is spot on.

hold on... he cant but who could? Could have had him pinch hitting from the bench all year gaining experience to go with his inate talents but naaa, we stuck to the well worn and failed plan, giving try hards with no talent who can do circle work, the nod. ;)
