Where do you think he'll go?

I can't say too much, and it is still early days... Unless an extraordinary deal comes from an interstate club he will definitely stay in Melbourne.

BTW - I am not against him joining Melbourne, he would be a fantastic acquisition - on and off field. The problem for Melbourne is that there are plenty of sports science roles going at other high profile Melbourne clubs.

Dont reply if its GWS. Lol.

Big call to say he'll finish top of our best and fairest, those other players you mentioned Smith and Horvat would they also finish as high? I understand the dogs have plenty of mids which is good for their future but I don't think they are ready to step up just yet, Horvat has only played 7 games, I think the decision to delist him wasn't the right decision, he's leadership would be great for these young dogs, I understand you also have Boyd and Griffen but the more leadership the better. I would happily have him at Melbourne.
Cross had to be delisted, dogs would have had 4 to 5 players retire at once.
Total list mismanagement right there.
Good fit for the Dees, good leader, and will give Jones a chop out in the middle.

So did he do a tour of Princes Park ?

In the mix.

I was just reading one of your earlier posts and it said something about sports science roles? Is Cross looking at a playing/coaching role? Or if he came to Carlton would it be purely as a player.

Separately as Cross is a delisted player he is a free agent. If Carlton were to land him and not get Daisy, would getting Cross in decrease our compensation for Eddie Betts (if he does leave as a free agent). I know in normal circumstances it would, but with Cross being a delisted free agent I thought maybe it was different as he is not a regular free agent.

Delisted free agents don't effect any compensation I believe

Even though he has previously done some coaching at TAC level, he wouldn't be looking to do this during or post career. Sports Science is his go - passion, knowledge, qualified. If he gets to another club, he would purely be as a player, with him working in sports science before transitioning post career.

Cross will cost a club zero, as posted by Ant.

Anyone listen to SEN this morning? Saw on twitter he has signed with Melbourne. Apparently SEN went with it.

He hasn't signed any where yet. He has two offers on the table from GWS & Melb, preference is to stay in Melbourne. One other VIC team was interested - have him captain the VFL team and look after the fitness for the seniors. His preference is to play AFL.

Whilst he hasn't signed with Melbourne yet, for the reasons mentioned I am 99% sure he will sign with the dees.

Thanks for the update - he'll get to play plenty of AFL with Melbourne. Hopefully he comes to us.
