No excuses to not turn this guy into a top 10 player in the comp. Has all the tools. Oozes superstar.
Its taken him a bit of time to get back up to speed post his surgery, but last night was a statement game. That get and burst from the centre in the last quarter to hit up Fogarty inside 50 was super to watch. He will become a centreman and can go back or forwards as needs must. He has soon to be top 10 player written all over him IMO

Curtin is way more important to our team than his possessions show in the stats. He's been sorely missed.

It feels a bit like when Thilthorpe returned from his injury and we suddenly realised he was the missing piece in our forward line.

Interesting seeing Jezza Cameron start on him at wing.

I was really impressed with how he played that. Knew when to hand over to the defenders, when to be accountable and when to push forward. Cameron looked completely lost at times and was virtually a non factor. He’s made a lot of teams look silly and left them confused on how to match up, but Curtin completely outsmarted him.

Reckon Jezza was surprised as a wingman he was playing on a bigger player.

Absolutely bizarre that they used Cameron there and not out of full forward exclusively. Like he has been the best forward in the game and their kicking for goal without him up there was off. Still, we benefited from his lowest output game for a very long time

I did notice early in the game he got caught twice with out a right foot.

Something to work on, his right side.

But....how great did he look ball on the run. And the confidence to hit up his team mate after leaving congestion.

First time really see him control play and create multiple plays. Contest to contest.

And against quailty opposition.

Curtin made his contest and possessions count when it mattered Thursday.

In contrast, whilst metres gained counts too, I can't remember one telling Bailey Smith possession from the same game.

My most memorable possession of the night was HHK going straight down the guts from a kick out with his first kick in AFL.

Metaphor much? Summed up his amazing week really.
Wrapped for the guy.

The way he gets the ball out from the contest is special. Whether its lateral movement, sidestep, foot speed (he's quicker than people think), shrugging tackles, or aerial contest - he can beat 2v1, 3v1, 4v1 and then get the ball outside by hand or 60m forward by foot. The Nicks gameplan is totally and utterly dependent on this type of player. Add in he's a great intercept defender in the clutch moments. Oh, and no fumbles in the wet.

If we are winning any finals we are doing it with Dan Curtin in the team. Bontempelli 2.0 and by next year every other team will know it. We've got the Dogs at Marvel next week and this was a game Curtin absolutely tore apart last year. Hoping to see more of the same.
