Daniel Jackson should be selected to play next week. He needs to be followed by Alex Gilmour about 5 weeks later. We need to start playing our kids. Even if we lose, we'll get games into them and that will help there development as players. I think our only hope is to play the kids and if we end up stone motherless last we can use the picks we get in the national draft and preseason draft to get some new talent combined with a couple of father sons we can start redeveloping this list. All is not lost! But if we dont finish last and we win say 7 games then I think we're knackered...coz we'll stay where we are for another 5 years.

im with u pal.

Lets write this one off and develop the youth or at least see if the youth we have can cut it.

Least this way we wont have to invest in duds.

While Jackson is still in Year 12 and at a Grammar school, this will be given priority. He is still a developing a player and should get at most a handful of games during the year.

Id like to see Jackson and Gilmore play but I think Tuck and Fletcher should be next to be given a go.

I dont want to go the whole season without even trying Fletcher. He can do some good things. Cant we just stick him in the middle at the start of the game and see how he goes?

i.ll give us to rnd 7 by then we will no where our season is at.
with the likelyhood of another barron season i hope spud looks to the future not for his sake but the club that has given him an oppotunity to coach at the highest level.
do a robert walls when he was brisbane who started the ball rolling with the introduction of their current crop even tho walls knew he was on a hiding to nothing.im sure walls can take a lot of pride looking at the brisbane side today.hopefully in the years to come spud can do the same.
i wouldnt make it a massive introduction but perhaps a roation of 3-4 youngsters at a time with more game time.

cheers!

I would normally say give 2 kids at a time a go at it. You know, Tommy and Hartigan, and then give another two. But after seeing the kids lead us this week, that would be unfair.

How has Daniel gone in the 2s? Does he deserve a promotion? Same for Tuck and Gilmour - gotta earn a spot in the seniors. I thought Tuck would have got a game in round 1 becasue he seemed to have a good preseason - that wasn't meant to be. How has he been going of late if anyone knows pls.
