This guy is so far overrated it is ridiculous. If he is in our best 22 in another 3 years then we have gone no where.

He lacks skill, composure, any sort of football brain and is lazy. What does he bring to the side. He cannot tag for shit...Ablett had 26 touches or something today while carrying an injury and I don't think I have ever seen him shut down a player well.

I rarely see him chasing/pressuring a player when that is meant to be what he brings to the side.

He constantly gets caught with the ball because his the slowest decision maker on the field. Today when he got tackled in the forward 50 he actually did a full spin with his arms free and didn;t think to get rid of it.

Not to mention when he does take a mark he holds onto the ball and slows down play forever.

For some reason this bloke is rated and I would love to see him traded.

Daniel Jackson, firstly remove him from the leadership group;
He is not a leader & shown that he himself has cost us 4 -5 games with his suspenstions alone; Secondly he has had chances to go back and score a "leadership" type goal over the last ten games, however NEVER,NEVER scores a goal. The word is that Tuck turns the ball over, well l throow a challenge to the Tiger coaches, compare any game, Tuck V Jackson & tell me you wins....
Richmond has suffered for so long & we have not had a proper leader for years. At the years end, Cothin must become captain allowing Newman to concetrate on his final years. As a result of the last 4 games, the coaching staff have now decisions to make; There are more names to delist / trade than first thought. After yesterdays result l really dont care how they are; Sometimes I wish we could CHEAT WIN A PREIMERSHIP like carrrlten.

Boy i await to see what will happen at years end.

Highly amusing to watch the usual flip-flop brigade go from praising Jackson at the beginning of the year to now wanting him traded or delisted.

Were you just complete fools at the beginning of the year when you praised him as a good player, or is there a reason for his loss of form?

For once, I'm pleased to say, the answer is that you weren't fools. :p

I always thought he was just a plodder, though there were definitely a few who thought he was 'good'. He's the classic ordinary onballer who can't play any other position.

Jackson and Reiwoldt are both playing hurt, have been for weeks, either would struggle to beat Browne in a test of agility and sprint ATM.
what a joke every player in comp is playing hurt this time of the year how jackson gets a game before tucky is a f - - -- n crime:mad:

the only people to praise him havent got a clue told u in preseaon that he was a spud, he would be first on my list to gws:mad:

yeah most carry a niggle but watch Jackson he virtually cant run and whilst he has never been a great kick it has affected his kicking badly.Lateral movement seems impossible for him also.Don't kid yourself there are injured players and there are players who are carrying niggles.
Then there are those who just cannot carry injuries and play.I say fair effort from Jack and Jacko but time to waddle off to the hospital.

I've always like his preparedness to put his body on the line but he made two crucial poor decisions to take the advantage yesterday when he should have stopped. Both decisions cost us potential goals and on neither occasion was it really 'on' - needs to be smarter than that. If he and Jack are are carrying injuries, get the operations done and move on.

He was recruited as an athlete not a footballer.

He has always been a spud and still is a spud.

If we can get rid of him during the off season all the better.

For a so called leader he has appalling lack of judgement on the field; why does he get suspended so often?

Was pretty good early on in the year, though has been pretty poor since. Needs to find some form in the 2's.

As I've said before, hopefully Helbig can develop into the two mid that can hurt teams with great tackling/defensive pressure and good foot skills. He certainly looks the bit.

you've got to be joking!

I never ever suggested he was a good player. He worked his butt off a couple of years ago and saved his career by coming top 3 B&F. He did that on the back of workrate...ever since then he is always in the media on radio and always seems to mention his own intelligence. Considering he is the slowest thinker I have seen on the field I find this ironic.

Funilly enough he might actually have some trade value but I would suggest it is more for the fact that he gets a gig on the footy show than anything else.

I've been the first to say Tuck should be playing fred, it's possible Jackson wouldn't have ended up like this if he had been played from the start of the year and we could be pretty sure that our whole midfield would have held up way better.

A fit Jackson would have kicked 80m with the wind behind him, yesterday he struggled to get 50 and ran like every step hurt. Keeping Ablett to 27 possessions under the circumstances was a fair effort.

Your kidding aren't you? Keeping Ablett to 27 touches and a goal when Ablett was in fact carrying an injury. Jackson is a list clogger and needs to be moved on.

I don't know that you were first to mind when I mention 'the usual flip-flop brigade'...why would you feel you were included? ;)

PHX nailed it, Jackson needs to be close to full fitness to do the things which make him an exceptional player at his best, if he's not we get a much tighter margin between his helpful and his harmful.

....err, **** me if this sounds a little crazy but is he the first 27yo that looks like the game has passed him by:confused:

Everything you've said for weeks is "crazy."

You've been told repeatedly for weeks that he's injured, but rather than open your eyes to the bleeding obvious, you decide he's the first of the newly discovered, broken and patented Bojangles Phenomenon - players who are ready for retirement at 27.

Please. :D

unless the player takes the field with a walking stick then i dont believe any injury that should impinge on performance. he's totally and absolutely passed it

Cmon Bo you can't be serious?
Was Adam Cooney past it early in the season?
Just one of many many examples
