Who will perform better in 09? Mitchell or Kerr? Assuming they're both injury free.

The nut puncher vs the nut punchee.

Kerr on past form but 09 will show us if it was Judd/Cousins influenced.

How can you possibly know? (apart from only judging on past performances, which have nothing to do with 09)

Who's having a better preseason, who's fitter, their own natural Footy abilities, past performances.

Gone for Kerr because he really needs to have a big year after struggling and getting suspended a few times last year. If he is switched on and doesnt get suspended etc he will likely have a better year as he is just an all around better footballer.

Kerr will struggle again.. Being the only player at West Coast worth tagging will count against him.

Ling is the only tagger in the comp who has the wood over Mitchell.. Mitchell to benifit from being in a stronger midfield.

Kerr is simply a better footballer (nothing against mitchell who is an inside gun, but kerr is one of the best elite mids in the afl at his best), but going by the way these teams performed last year, and how they're expected to perform this year, I wouldn't be surprised if Mitchell consequently had the better season.

Kerr, all things being equal.

All things aren't equal however and he may find himself being covered by taggers a lot.

I love Mitch and he is the best clearance player going around, but Kerr is a slightly better footballer and will stand out in the weak west coast side.

Kerr at 100 is a top 5-7 player in the AFL, Mitchell is like top 30

Mitchell is a great extractor and leader but is not the player kerr is.

You guys are lucky to have a player like Kerr....as dogey as he is sometimes, he obviously is there like Cox for the long haul unlike that mercenary Chri$:thumbsu:

Say what you have to say to make you feel better about taking a fat loose man in defence over the best player of the decade ;)

You mean the Norm smith medalist, Luke Hodge?? I'm pretty sure Buddy wasn't in the same draft as Hodge anyway.;)

I think it's now fair to say that Mitchell has surpassed Kerr. At least after this year.
