What do people think on Daniel Kerr? I know his been injured a bit and missed a lot of footy but would he be a player wanted if he wanted out.I would never give up much for him but if he wasn't going for much a straight swap or later pick would we take a chance or do you think his finished? He was a gun playing with Judd.

Straight swap for Garlett and Yarran.

A Michael Voss type recruiting spree is what we need to become a contender for the flag.
You Idiot a swap for them wouldn't benefit us. I was thinking more like a Steven Browne and a late pick.A pick or player who wouldn't get much run for us.

Browne + (a late pick in a compromised draft) does not = Kerr.

As much as he is a ******** he is still a great player.

For what he is worth (football wise) I wouldnt be prepapred to pay.

WCE are stuck with him.

They deserve each other.

And for what its worth;

Thats what we need, another in and under bull terrier who is not only injury prone like the two we have but suspension prone too.

The lets get Daniel Kerr boat sailed a few years ago starman.

Depends. Does a physical, get him for very little, Hadley out, older, wiser, hopefully reformed a la Barry Hall ... could be good.

As stated, it is all hypothetical but I am not convinced that we aren't taking too many moral stances against older, troubled players because Fev bit us so hard. Some clubs are actually turning these guys around. Saints and Gardiner, Tigers and Cousins, Dogs and Hall.

He won't get to us in the PSD and we can't satisfy West Coast in a trade, and wouldn't want to as we have greater deficiencies. He'd be an upgrade on the other two for sure.

This is what i'm saying i'm not stupid to give away a pick near top 10 or 20 for him or a valuable player.I'm saying if it cost a player who is most likely to be delisted in a few seasons and a later pick why not if he pass all tests.

Oh so we agree?

I'd hereby like to recant my opinion and take up an opposing position.

As you mentioned in your first post both clubs wouldn't be able to satisfy each other anyway so its a mute point, but assuming his body held up, which with advancing years and a game that is increasing in pace I think would be unlikely and my belief that he won't/can't change his spots re acts incurring suspension I wouldn't bother.

However, solely based on ability then yes, he is better than Brock or Dick.

Yep I'm sure West Coast would jump at a deal like that

cant see it happening.

west coast would want a first rounder, yet hardly any teams would give that up for kerr as he hasnt played consistent footy since 2007.

his value is less than what we're prepared to trade him for. therefore, we're stuck with him.

It wouldn't be the first time we gave away good picks for a dud. Mclean is a good example of that. Kerr is a much better player then Mclean so i can't see why not give up another high pick for a seasoned player.
